here's the best tool to find inactives to farm around you:

Set it to server 5, put in your coordinates and the number of days of inactivity you are looking for and bingo, you got yourself somebody to farm

Posted in the in game forums, but posting here as well. If interested in being a recruiter for our alliance, please let me know. I would like to get 1 or 2 recruiters who can help with the people looking to join. I can increase our alliance size as needed, or we can add secondary alliances as needed but growing seems like a decent idea compared to some of the other alliances out there.

I built an academy which lists the cost of a spear man as

Spearfighter
970|380|880|400| 1:40:00

in the instructions he costs only

Spearfighter
145|70|80|40|0:23:20

I am sure I am just missing something again.

That's what it costs to research the ability to train spearmen. It's a one-time cost.

I've found myself not paying as much attention as I should (go figure...I always let things like this fizzle and die). If anyone would like to use me as a resource, I can start sending out merchants when I log in. They can carry up to 500 trade goods at the moment, and because of the nature of my logins (once a day, about), I should be able to ship off all 500 of them without too much damage to myself (I'll build something, then forget about Travian for the rest of the day).

Currently have 8 Praetorians and a pretty hoss Cranny.

I know almost everyone has quit playing this.. but figured some of you might get a kick out of this (especially Frogman). After everyone had quit, I pretty much just went into the mode of seeing how strong i could build my defenses and had scared most everyone away. I actually had not gotten attacked by anyone for weeks when our good buddy GreenLantern decided to come back around and sent everything including the kitchen sink at me from 5 different villages. I guess he wasn't expecting the welcoming committee I had.

I still don't really play much.. just out of habit I log in and make sure to constantly be building troops.. Glad it paid off with an enjoyable result

nice. i'm just amusing myself with logging in to build once a day now. i figure i'll quit in a week or two since some of the nearby towns have started trying to gangbang me and the enjoyment of seeing my village building is gone.
