I'd like my chances there too since I think I've spent a lot more money upgrading my forts than he has. I also have more ships in the vacinity, as my fleet is more distributed than GBs. However if GB and Spain were to do a World Wide war, I think I'd have to give the advantage to GB.

As for what I was doing last time, basically I was expanding my colonies as much as possible in Asia. During the first French War I managed to completely destroy its mega army, which was quite difficult. The second war was more limiting for me because Austria and GB were the leaders so I couldn't take directly from France. Basically in future Wars I can run over France (and austria) in Africa with-out too much of an issue. Where as in the first War I needed to commit about 120k troops to the arena (France has superior land technology to me), in the second war I committed only 80k, which also included the troops I was using to fight Austria in the region.

New map after this weekend. Not alot happened in Europe, but Asia seemed to have quite a bit of change. We are also into the 1700s now, ending at 1703.

Other interesting items of note, you might see the change of color for Denmark change from Red to Blue. They formed Scandinavia (actually the first time I have seen that country formed in EU3 myself).

Ottoman Empire is about to be completely destroyed from the map mostly thanks to Lithuania who now seems locked in as the Holy Roman Empire. (It had been Great Britain up until GB adopted an administrative republic and no longer has a King.

Alan: What software do you use to get the maps that you post here? I have a single-player game going and would like to save a map at certain times.

It is built into the game. Just hit F12 for the full world view.

I believe Ctl-F12 does only your nation colored and ALT-F12 does your nation + your vassals colored.. Or perhaps I have those backwards.. or maybe one of them is Shift-F12... I never can remember.

It's hard to tell form that map, but GB has pretty much locked down India. Congrats!

Also of note, is that France has given up, essentially, on Europe & has moved their capital to Africa.

Now if only Austria would do the same!

Indeed! Great Britain conquered Judea from the Ottoman Empire back about 200 years earlier, but has not pressed much further.

Ok, just looked it up. In EU3, hitting F11 will just give you a basic screenshot including the game interface and your current open menus.

Only with the IN expansion pack does the F12 work, showing you the full map.

Shift+F12 if you have EU3 + IN is your country and your vassals.

I haven't posted any maps from the game that Barkeep and I had been playing for the past few months. I am the Mughul Empire (formed from the Timurid), and he is the Mamluks. In this map, the grey is me (dark grey are my vassals), and yellow is him (dark yellow his vassals). We own a pretty good chunk of the world and are now about to butt head to head with the great European powers it seems.

This is how the entire world looks right now:

Update from the above game, now in the year 1637.

The Golden Horde has been torn apart and is now only a few provinces in size. Austria is a one province minor, Hungary and Poland no longer exist. The Germanic states are getting devoured from within and the Holy Roman Empire is helpless to stop it from happening.

One province minor Bohemia is now the Holy Roman Emperor and leads and Personal Union with the Empire of Castille which is his only muscle right now. Prussia is becoming the most dominant military force while France appears to not be doing much other than watch Naples eat up all of the low lands.

A look at the Mughal Empire and Mamluks (myself and Barkeep's empires) plus our vassals at the present:
