The nationally televised Bronco chase put the OJ thing squarely in the limelight. If Spector had got in a white bronco with a buddy and cruised along the freeway at 45 MPH trying to make a break for Mexico, only to get off in the resulting trial due to a botched prosecution, he'd be just as hated.
