Creating Video for the web
I have a few AVI videos that I have taken of my son taht I want to put on the internet so that my family back in the U.S.A. can see him. I have software (Pinacle Studio 8) that will convert the video to MPG, Windows Media or Real. Which is the best to choose. Does it make any difference?

If you send me the video, I will review it, for educational purposes only, and let you know my opinion.

In all seriousness, WM or Real probably both boast some sort of improved compression or other such nonsense, but if you convert the video to mpg you will at least have the benefit of more readily accessible media.
WM or Real formats will obviously require the appropriate playback software. Having been through the hassles that can result from mixing relatives and computers, knowing MPG can be replayed by any viewer may outweigh any of the benefits offered by either proprietary format.
