+1. Would have added Alien but Aliens is indeed the cream of the crop.

What I want to know is, in that movie, how come that tornado could tear a 40 penny nail out of a twelve X twelve, but it can't take the bra and panties off of Helen Hunt? If there's one thing I can't stand it's a gay tornado.

Aliens (#2) is one of my favorite movies. Great action and tension.

You know, I never did make the connection between Hudson and Bill Henrickson (Big Love). I had to google it and sure enough, I see the resemblance now.

Wasn't she also in the show "Square Pegs" in the 80's? That's the same show that Sarah Jessica Parker got her start.

Yep - just confirmed it - she played the seminal role of Muffy Tepperman.

If that was the prison planet one, yeah ... pretty horrible. I don't think I've sat through it completely.

As an "Alien" series movie #3 sucked ass, but as a story about humanity and morality it was actually really well done.

I know everyone shits on it, but I really enjoyed "Alien vs Predator". It was a dumb, fun action movie.

You should stop taking drugs.

He was fucking amazing in "Frailty". I don't think that anyone who watched the movie and liked it can say anything else.

I agree. I think it transcends the genre and should be considered among the greatest movies ever made. Although Weaver got nominated for best actress (which isn't saying much since there are so few cherry roles for women), it got snubbed for everything but effects (and score?). It was a decent year for movies:

- Platoon (won) - good but not outstanding
- Children of a Lesser God - never saw it
- Hannah and her Sisters - saw it but walked out. I think I was too young.
- The Mission - an excellent film. Probably should have won. I still think about the moral dilemma presented

All in all, the best sequel ever made (T2 must be the most overrated film of all time), the best or second best movie of 1986, the second best Sci-Fi film (to 2001), the best monster film.

Awesome to see you guys in such perfect agreement. Well, on two different movies, but past that, you two are like synchronized swimmers, perfect in every stroke and gesture. Bravo!
