I know there has been discussion on the service in the past, but I was just wondering how the service is now. What's the turn around time like for the East Coast?

I just started it myself. Turn around time seems slow. The last time I got a game from them I was genuinely surprised, as I had forgotten I order the service! Also, if anything is listed as low availability, I have no idea how to get it. The bottom line is the jury is very much out on Gamefly for me.

Bumping this because I basically have the same question.

I get the feeling, from reading a few other references to Gamefly in other threads, that turnaround time is spotty but availability is the other thing that I really am curious about.

I'm noticing that where, in California, I had a two-day turnaround time, it's been generally 3 days in Wisconsin. Not too shabby.

Availability isn't always great, but it can be gamed. If you have a list of 15 things you want to play, chances are real good you aren't getting #1 or #2 off the list if #1 or #2 are hot titles.

If, on the other hand, your list only *has* one or two titles on it...

My supervisor at work has it and his only complaint is that it's near impossible to get games that just came out.

I had it for a month and it's just not worth it. Turnaround is a little slow but not horrible. My issue is they just don't have new games in stock. I guess if there are a lot of old games you want to play it's worth it, but it's a waste if you're using it to test out what games are worthy of a purchase.
