Xbox controller question

Here is a question that reveal my lack of sophistication as a console gamer -- I recently acquired NCAA 2004 and it is the first game I have owned/played that on occassion has an option for an "R-click" to access some menus or hide the instant replay controls. How do you "R-click?" I have tried every combination I can imagine of the R-button, R-stick and the other buttons. I assume that it is something that I have tried, but just haven't done correctly.

Is it just a quick R-button click? If so, I apparently lack the fine touch control to pull this off. Thanks in advance for help!

The right joystick can be pushed down or clicked.
