(POL) Taliban split from Al-Qaeda, seek peace via Saudis
This should be getting more attention then it is, apparently, the Saudis have decided that the US will not be able to eradicate the Taliban, and the Taliban have decided that they won't be able to force out the Coalition army.. next step is a couple months away, but it's a good first step.
