OT: Comcast Phone & Wireless Network

Every time my Comcast phone rings my wireless network drops the connections to the laptops and you can't reconnect until the call is over. Has anyone got a way to set it up so that I can use the wireless and the phone at the same time. The computer plugged into the modem works while on the phone, just not the wireless.

Is your phone wireless? Do you know at what frequency it operates?

My recollection is a bit hazy, but a big problem used to be that wireless routers & wireless phones both operated in the same frequency band (900Mhz or 2.4GHz, can't remember).

So, they'd cause interference with each other. This, however, is the most serious example I have seen of that, if indeed this is the case).

If the phone's not wireless, then I have no idea.

Your 2.4 GHz phone is interfering with your wireless network. Get phones on another frequency.

Thanks, I never would have thought of that.

And as a reminder before it bites someone...microwaves work on the same frequency. My connections don't drop with the microwave on, but it slows to a crawl.

I'd suggest a DECT 6.0 phone, preferrably one made by Panasonic.
