Anybody tried ripping you off in fantasy football trades?

In my league, I got a trade offer whereby I'd give up Reggie Bush and get back Stephen Jackson.

They must really think I'm an idiot or something.

Needless to say, I'm not accepting or even giving it the dignity of a reply.

Well, if your leauge isn't point per reception then that is fairly decent.

my bad read it wrong....

If your WR core is a little stronger than your RB'S I wouldnt see why this is such a bad offer. I think Jackson still has a decent year in him, even with that line and crappy "O".

I'm not sure what the scoring is related to that, though I believe it's standard scoring.

I do know that Bush has been averaging about 20 points a game for me thus far and I'm thinking Jackson is going to have a terrible year, which is why I was like "...wtf?"

My RB corps is stronger than my WRs, in my opinion and like I said in previous post, I don't see him having anywhere near the year that I think Bush will.

Which Jaskson? The one on the Rams, Chiefs, or the NBA guard?

Someone offered me Ashley Lelie for Jay Cutler. Yes, I have McNabb as my starter, but really, make me a better offer than the #1 QB in fantasy football for a WR that has a QB that's struggling.

After I finished laughing, I declined the trade and asked him why would I make this trade. He never responded.

Now, if he would've offered a solid RB, we could've talked.

Eh, happens in all forms of fantasy sports so, I just say no and move along. Only bugs me when they come back and try to say why you are an idiot for declining it.

With the Bush/Jackson trade, maybe he thought you would sell high/buy low so, I wouldn't be that insulted by it, if at all.

I used to do a work league, where-

1) every drafted straight from whatever magazine they bought. It was the bible.

2) used the magazine even after the draft was over.

I got an offer one year:

I give up Harrison, and get back Tony Gonzalez. And his reasoning was, Harrison was only the #4 ranked WR, but TG was the #1 ranked TE.

I quit that league

If that's the worst offer you get, your league is very reasonable indeed.

I don't think that's a terrible offer. Without the point per reception, I'd expect Jackson to score more from here on out than Bush.

Even if it was a rip-off, I don't see the problem with trying. If every GM in sports could rip-off other GMs at will you bet they'd do it.

In addition, I wonder if Bush can make it through a full season carrying the load like he is.

A rip off trade would be him offering the Bears Adrian Petersen for one of your good players. Making sure you were paying attention.

not so far.

This is not a bad trade, based on history. Bush will probably fade, while Jackson should get more points...if the Rams can find their game.

the NBA proves there are GM's willing to do rip off trades in real life, why not try them in fantasy
