Here in Delaware they just gave us a tropical storm warning. I'm okay here, as long as we keep power. During Isabel we lost power for over 24 hours, which was a huge irritant. As you can see, we're quite spoiled.

Outer bands of rain are hitting southern Richmond now. Time to head home.

5 PM information is out and things have taken a turn for the better for inland North Carolina. The forecast has jumped east a good ways and chances have diminished quite a bit that the Triangle will be experiencing any sort of severe weather, but there probably still will be some squally weather around here in the morning.

Landfall projection has bounded back to where it was a day or two ago with it coming near or over Cape Fear south of Wilmington and then moving through coastal North Carolina roughly along US 17 and the center clearing the state by mid-afternoon. The storm's going to be really moving quickly, so they are projecting a second landfall in the Delmarva area shortly after that and then perhaps a third landfall on Long Island or Cape Cod in the overnight hours Sunday morning. It will likely be falling apart by that point, but they still expect winds of tropical storm force even as it does so.

Nothing major here. We never lost power. 3.54 inches of rain recorded at Charleston Airport. Downtown flooded, but downtown floods in a 15-minute thunderstorm. Water was knee-deep there. I haven't seen any wind damage reports or max winds for here. I did wake up to take a whizz at around 1:30am, which was in the window of time it was said to have been the worst it would be here. The trees were swaying more than I've ever seen them here, but none of the small ones that I could see appeared to be in any sort of jeopardy.

everything is fine here too. In fact if I didn't know there had been a storm, it would be hard to tell from looking around. Very little leaf/branches down.

Heard they had to close Highway 17 coming out of Georgetown last night due to flooding and the Southern part of the Grand Strand had some severe beach erosion.

Yep, some wind, a fair amount of rain, but not bad at all. Been reports of flooding around the area, though, but that's to be expected in a system like this.
