Late Monday Fun - 10 Songs Shuffle

Time for another ones of those music lists to show what you got. For this one, put your music device on shuffle songs and give me 10 in a row. You can shuffle from your whole collection or from a playlist, it doesn't matter. I'm curious to see what stuff I can add from your shuffle (to help me diversify a little). Here's mine from the rock playlist:

1. The Narrow Way: Part 1 - Pink Floyd, Ummagumma
2. Trip Through Your Wires - U2, Live From Paris
3. Mistral Wind - Heart, Dog & Butterfly
4. All Lovers Are Deranged - David Gilmour, About Face
5. Mudmen - Pink Floyd, Obscured by Clouds
6. Lords of the Ring - Styx, Pieces of Eight
7. With a Shout - U2, October
8. Let Me Live - Queen, Made in Heaven
9. One of the Few - Pink Floyd, The Final Cut
10. In the Evening - Led Zeppelin, Mothership

From my weighted everything list (more liked songs are repeated in the list more often (up to 10 times); less popular ones may appear only once in 9700 songs):

1. Led Zeppelin - Fool In The Rain
2. Damn Yankees - Come Again
3. The Knack - My Sharona
4. Ani DiFranco - Dilate
5. Mama Mia (Broadway) Sndtrk - The Name Of The Game
6. Tom Petty - You Got Lucky
7. BoDeans - Naked
8. Bryan Adams - All I Want Is You
9. Queen - Under Pressure
10. Sun 60 - Should Have Seen The Moon

So far, I would most like to listen to Warhammer's iPod.

9700?? And here I thought my 3000 was decent. *feels inadequate*

then again i guess i stopped collecting songs actively a long time ago. And i did have ~1000 techno songs that somebody uploaded to my server one time that I deleted.

Don't be fooled. My collection is closer to 3000 songs as well. This playlist contains duplicated songs to play songs that I prefer more often, while less preferred songs only come up once in a great while.

aaaaah okay! phew. my collection is pretty amusing, it's fairly "snapshot in time" ish - I stopped doing heavy DLing like 6 years ago. Now I only DL individual songs that I like.

I use itunes's "party shuffle" to make a playlist that's more likely to have songs I've rated higher, save it to a normal playlist, then play that. Not a ton of songs are rated -- I have a system where I add a star to pretty much one song out of every three I hear. Anyway, here's the first ten of today's "weighted" shuffle:

Quote:
Velocity Girl -- Audrey's Eyes (2 stars)
R.E.M. -- Hope (1 star)
Sugar -- Your Favorite Thing (no stars)
Portishead -- All Mine (Live) (no stars)
Suddenly Tammy -- Flemen (2 stars)
808 State -- Lift (1 star)
Jellyfish -- Joining A Fan Club (2 stars)
Ben Folds -- Fired (no stars)
Frente -- Ordinary Angels (1 star)
Buena Vista Social Club -- Amor De Loca Juventud (no stars)

And just on regular shuffle:

Quote:
Barenaked Ladies -- Never Do Anything
Tori Amos -- Professional Widow
Morrissey -- Such a Little Thing Makes a Big Difference
The Beatles -- I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Juliana Hatfield -- You Blues
Jonathan Richman -- I'm Straight
Sting -- They Dance Alone (Cueca Solo)
Christopher Cross -- Never Be The Same
Heart -- Who Will You Run To
some track with a bunch of noise, that I think came from Football Manager or something, so I'll do another one
Tori Amos -- The Waitress
