ROM file - help

I think I know a pretty basic level of computer knowledge but then it seems I can't figure out a simple thing like how to extract a .ROM file.

I just bought a Samsung P2 MP3 player and I d/l the latest Firmware but it's a ROM extension. I've done a goggle search but I can't find for the life of me an answer - so I come to my fellow FOFC'ers to help....

You might just have to copy the ROM file to the MP3 player....

Did you happen read the instructions on how to update the firmware for the device?

You should see the instruction booklet that came with it - 5 mayb 6 pages of worthless input. I think I finally figured out how to update the firmware but haven;t tried yet. I'm now wishing I got the iTouch rather than the P2... oh well...
