1965 Salary Cap
With the youngsters starting to hit their strides and such, it might be advantageous to raise the cap. I'd like to get an idea of what the owners think of how much it ought to go up by.

I think another year at least and then bump up the cap. I tried to spend some money before 1964 and I still only have a player payroll of $24 million.

Just an FYI to put things a bit into perspective. After the 1965 season, a TON of kids who are on auto renewal will hit FA, and they WILL be asking for 13+ a year. Both the catchers on my team right now, 4.5-5.0 star players, want 14 mil a year to stay on my team.

Based on what FA players were asking for this time around, I don't see any reason to go up from $65 mil yet.

I should point out I plan on getting up near the cap limit this year though, as I try to extend some deals. I just think the $65 mark is good for at least one more year.

Heh...with my high payroll, I chose to bump it, of course. It's funny I am the only one.

DC has been treating ties as status quo, though, so it's going to be staying at 65m whatever happens now, I'd guess.

Yup, $65 million for next year too. We can revisit the issue in a season or two.
