I know Tar Heel fans aren't supposed to like NC State, but I will never, ever get tired of seeing that game and that finish. Forget Jordan, Fred Brown, Chris Webber, Steve Alford, that's the best finish to an NCAA Basketball Championship ever, its not even close IMO.

I agree. I'm a Tar Heel fan, too. But, unless you are a Houston fan, it is just silly not to love that game.

I would wish you guys luck this weekend, but you've given the ACC enough credit and support with your run. You can stop winning now. It's sad enough that Duke has three titles since then. Don't add to our misery by having Carolina get their third, too. Have pity on us.

I wish we Wolfpack fans could have something remotely close to that kind of excitement to get us going again...

As a kid I grew up idolizing Jimmy V, Derreck Whittenburg, Sidney Lowe, Lorenzo Charles, Thurl Bailey, Terry Gannon, Cozzelle McQueen, Ernie Myers, et al... I was lucky enough to meet most of them at V's basketball camps when I was young...

I used to sit in my room and look up at my NC State NCAA Championship Soda Bottles and Cans that were released after the win. They each had the entire roster on them and the scores from all of our games that year. I had that thing memorized.

I was at the home game vs Clemson this year when we were supposed to remember the '83 team. Unfortunately it was a let down as they only brought a few of the guys out (minus V, Whittenburg, Lowe, and a few others) and announced there names without alot of fan fare or videos, speeches, etc. I still get chills in me when I hear Jimmy V's speech in Reynolds when they honored them in '93... For today I am just enjoying the memories knowing that my team produced the most exciting NCAA Championship ever, the most enthusiastic coach ever, and the best/most exciting basketball player ever (David Thompson - http://youtube.com/watch?v=whIPLxAXGc4 , http://youtube.com/watch?v=8fPX_skXl-o)!!!
