Agreed. I won't be leaving my house for like 8 months after I start playing this.

free if one was to download MAME and somehow stumble upon the ROM

not that I would do that but I'm told it's possible.

400 MS points.

And yeah you can play it on MAME (we have a mame arcade cabinet in the house), but playing on xblive will be a blast on the 56 inch screen in the game room!

Only 400 points for this one? That's $5. SIGN ME UP!

Hell, I actually would've paid $30 for this. I used to spend something like $40 of my dad's money each month on Cyberball in the arcade.

Maybe if the game was CyberPuck 2072, then the Canadians would have heard of it.

And I think I spent quite a bit of money on Hit the Ice and that baseball pinball game. I'd say to me, those are better sports arcade games!!

This didn't age very well, IMO. I was excited about it coming out, but after playing the demo, I don't think it's even worth 5 bucks to me. I used to have it on Genesis, you'd play 5 games just to get an upgraded QB, and then he'd only be strong until he blew up. Or if he survived the game, then he'd be gone the next one.

Loved it at the arcade, people would be suckers and pay for upgraded players.

Yeah, I've read that there's no online play. That pretty much ruins it for me. In fact, if what I'm reading is correct, there's no head-to-head play at all. If you have two people on one machine, then you have to play co-op. I don't know if this is true, but that's what I've read. Very disappointing.

Oh yeah, well if we were playing you in the Super Series, it would be a million to one as the score for the last game!! Even Russia managed to only lost 8-1!!

no, some stupid half-assed junior hockey eight-game series between Russia and Canada. Canada is up 5-0 in the series and won 8-1 last night.

Looking at the game page, it looks like you are correct. Local co-op mode, and a "beat the coach" mode to simulate a live opponent.

Hopefully there is a secret code to unlock the "beat the stupid asshole programmer in the face with a brick" mode for not including play over XBlive.

On the one hand, this game was awesome. Not "Blades of Steel" awesome, but still pretty awesome.

On the other hand, I recently played it in one of those PS2 "classic game" compilation packs and got my ass kicked, and it put me in a bad mood for like three days.

If Temco comes out with h2h play, it will be the end of North American civilization. Seriously, the economy will collapse within a week. Every male on the continent would be playing the thing 24/7.

Sweet. I also wasted whatever money I scrounge up on Cyberball in the arcade. This is a must buy for me. Does it have MP?

Edit: Just read the rest of the thread. No MP is disappointing - probably a deal breaker for me too.

Bummer. I wish Midway were putting a little more effort into their XBL titles instead of outsourcing basic ports. Cyberball with online play = fantastic awesomeness.

I have little pull, but I'll agitate as much as I can...
