POL--YouTube Has an anti-conservative bias?

http://politicalinsider.com/2007/05/...alternati.html

How in the heck can eleventy billion bad remixes of popular movie clips/pop song combinations be considered conservative or liberal?

Sometimes things just confuse me.

I guess the first question is...what do "administrators" of a site like Youtube.com do exactly? Are they pulling videos they don't agree with, or giving ones they do agree with preferential treatment, like face time on the front page or something?

Is YouTube=Liberal something that is widely known?

I'm not denying it. Just indicating that I had never heard of it and that in my limited experience with YouTube, it seems very apolitical.

My guess is that with the increasing use of these types of sites for politics - particularly the viral campaigns - there is some thought that Youtube is more friendly to liberal agendas? I don't know. But I do know that Youtube is far more than just a site to find 80s music videos and home video of your cousin's wedding.

Does the video of Karl Rove "rapping" at the White House Correspondents' Dinner qualify as an example of Liberal or Conservative bias?

Anyway, I don't see what the Conservatives are complaining about. Liberals may be really good at using new and exciting mediums in creative ways to get their message across, but Conservatives do a great job of getting their message heard through the clever use of censorship and the destruction of civil liberties. Not to mention their exceptionally funny sideline in comedy outings of supposedly heterosexual fire-and-brimstone preachers and/or anti-gay legislators. That's something to be proud of, to be honest.

In fact, the entire left-vs-right dichotomy of American Politics is probably best understood as an extended series of those "Hi, I'm a Mac. Hi, I'm a PC" commercials.

This was just used as an excuse so that QubeTV can get traffic to the website. Otherwise no one would have heard of them and the best way to attract a lot of visitors is by drumming up ridiculous controversy and hope that the media jumps on this.

"Republican White House veterans Charlie Gerow and Jeff Lord have created a new conservative video Web site called QubeTV, which they describe as an alternative to YouTube," according to the Washington Times.

"Both Mr. Gerow and Mr. Lord, who served as aides during the Reagan administration, say QubeTV is necessary because of what they view as an anti-conservative bias by the administrators of YouTube."

That's the entire article?

So wait a second, a site whose content is mostly created and posted by young, relatively well-off college-aged kids has a liberal bias? Holy shit!

1) Who uses YouTube the most? By a large margin, stupid college kids with way too much time on their hands.
2) What do stupid college kids with way too much time on their hands do other than upload clips to YouTube? Smoke a lot of pot.
3) What political bias do people who smoke a lot of pot have? A liberal bias.

It's pretty simple mathematics.

Youtube is one of the many tools the left and Al Gore (who invented the internet in the first place) have of trying to sway the minds of our young into liberal thinking.

Of the literally hundreds of internet websites out there, very few actually tell the honest truth like Fox News.

The internets is immoral and disgusting.
