City of Villains

Just picked this up and started playing it. Its been over a year since I played City of Heroes and I have a fiance now that will play it with me.

I've found some of the changes they made to be very good. I still might get bored with it after a couple months.

Anyone playing this game?

I would still be playing CoH as well as CoV, but the constant changes annoyed me enough to quit.

I re-upped my account a few months back ( also added COV ), but with nobody from here on - it sucks. I am keeping my account and will be glad to join the fight again if y'all come back.

I have very fond memories of CoH with you guys, but I haven't played a MMORPG since this because I didn't feel like I did a good enough job of with my time management. I more than got the value for the money I spent playing the game, but found myself with a lot less time for my wife, friends, extra effort required for work beyond the 9-5, etc.

I am playing COV i enjoy it alot. The mmo lite really works for me.

What server are you on and when do you play? I am on usually from 3:30 pm est till 5:30 although i usually get bored after a couple of missions and log. Lately i have been playing Darkthug on the Victory server. The thug mastermind powerset is alot of fun so far. Although it is a fotm(flavor of the month).

Would love to get the fofc team back together.

My main is a Mastermind (Necro/Bubbles) my fiance is a Stalker. Name is Bloody Kisses. I'm more of a weekend player, but will be on tonight, after my homework. Victory server. I was reminiscing with Chris (Gail-Force) yesterday. Good times in City of Heroes. Sweet Bubbles, Don's third eye, Albino Claw's death wishes... Chris is supposed to pickup CoV soon and quit Matrix Online finnally.

I play, but I still play CoH more than CoV (highest on CoV is a lvl 21 kin/energy corruptor). My play in general has been waning, but still play often enough (as opposed to all the time before).

He's still playing MO? Ack!

I just had Claw running around town the other day. Need the old group back together. The game is kinda boring but we had fun despite that.

I don't know why, but ever since that game went live, Chris has played MxO. He is FINNALLY getting bored of it. I could only take 3 days of that game before I canceled. I tried DnD online and didn't last more that 4 days.

I logged on for a couple hours recently during the free weekend. I have been considering a return to CoH since my interest in WoW waned. I never bought CoV, but I should be on Victory soon with one of my many scrappers.

I found CoV at Best Buy for next to nothing and there is no extra monthly fee. Of course, if you have no interest in it - free wouldn't even matter, but it could be worth $20 for you to try it out.

All-in-all, I miss our group.

My tolerance for solo-ing in the game died LONG ago and every time I log in now, nobody is on. Even Penolope (sic) isn't on much (or maybe she now hides herself from me).

Anyone hoping that the game has progressed a whole lot since their absence will be sorely disappointed. At the most, 1 or 2 issues have come out in that time and the most recent one was a lot of CoV and PvP content. For the most part I've found the PvP to not be very good. Some things are fun, but you need to build the "right" combos for it and that isn't fun to me.

Still, if you get back on-board, send me an in-game hello. My global name is @bonegavel (shocker).

I've been thinking of checking this out, never tried CoV but I played a lot of CoH before its basic repetitiveness made me bored. The basic gameplay is pretty fun, though.

Nothing has really changed and it is as "boring" as ever. However ( and as with most things ), the right group of people makes it a blast to play.

My time in Paragon City is directly proportional to amount of FOFCers that are logged on.

Agreed, I hope to see more missions like Mayhem missions in the future. Adding more would increase the amount of time I spend with this game.

I have been playing off and on the last couple days.

Funyun Freak 25 DM/DA
Gumbercules 35 Spines/Invul
Eternal Focus 42 MA/SR

I have not seen anyone from here on yet but I play odd hours. Do we have enough interest to try setting up a task force?

My main problem is getting uninterrupted time to play.

I have been playing Shadow-Toxin, a level 14 spines/dark scrapper.

Shadow-Toxin is up to 26 now. I have been playing a lot the last week +, but (as always) I am afk about 1/3 of the time.

I don't think it's turned off altogether, you can just lose your lists if unlucky. Happened to me a couple weeks ago. The problem is, you can't re-add friends because you are still on *their* lists. They have to remove you first, and then you can add them again.

I had to add a couple of channels that I belonged to again too.

Just curious who is still playing. I finally got CoV for a bargain price and just finished levelling an energy/electric Brute to 50. I will probably cancel out now that I have gotten to "the end", but I really like how easy it is to log in and play for 10-20 minutes and make progress solo. Might give EQ2 or WoW another try.

Not in the group with you all, but still playing CoX. Mainly the hero side though; my highest toon in Villains is a lvl 26 (I think?) EB/Kin, Zap Dingbat. Been toying with my Merc/Poison MM Dr. Plumbum the last couple nights, but he's only level 8. Spend most of my time as a hero with my Emp/Psi (30), Grav/Storm (21), Mind/Kin (38), Inv/EM (32), or BS/Regen (50). With the occasional alt thrown in.

I was trying to see if they were offering a trial for this or City of Heroes and it appears the only trial you can get right now is a buddy trial from people with existing accounts. Anyone here happen to have a trial code that they don't plan on using they could PM me? Much thanks in advance if anyone can help out.

It seems like any deactivated account is activated for free through the weekend because of the new issue.
