[online game] Popomundo?
There was a thread on my "other home on the web" (otherwise known as Octopus Overlord) about various online games. One of the games mentioned is Popomundo. It reminds me of the Rockstar game we were playing awhile ago, if a bit more seemingly fleshed out (at a glance, as I just started). The pace of the game seems to be quite slow as it seems to follow real-time time. You register then pick your in-game character and go from there. Interesting so far and I can accept tossing about a few minutes (between trying to figure out how to survive my serie in Hattrick and how to survive the dwindling number of players in It's a Goal) a day.
Anyway, if anyone else join, my in-game character's name is Rober Oldham. It's not easy being a Reggae artist in LA. |

I've been playing about two years now. It's alright and I plan on sticking with it. Kind of slow going when you're a newbie though.
I'm "Lane Warner" in game. Cheers! |

Huh....thanks for this. Is it similar to Music Maven? I may resurrect my R & B group, Prickly Heat, on this site.

Just based off the name, it sounds like a game created by K-Fed.

By the way, you have just made Octopus Overlords a boomark. I just check out that forum and...damn....they talk about a lot of games.

Eh, kind of. Control a single person rather than the whole group, and now they've added a ton of stuff to do in Popomundo that has nothing to do with music. Seems like they're getting further away from a music sim/RPG and moving more towards a life kinda sim with politics, etc. *shrug* I played a lot of Music Maven from version 1 through version 2.....but never continued version 3. Was one of the original bands in v1 and 2 (the alt-metal band "Velocity"). Great fun back then. Cheers! |

OO -- one of the remnants of GoneGold -- is a great site. It's the only other forum [other than . . . us] I can stay at for any length of time.

What hawk said.
It does remind me a fair bit of MM with the song writing as well as practicing. I obviously have not played nearly as much or as long as he has but looks interesting to me so far (which often happens with someone new). We'll see how long it manages to hold interest. |
