Prayers Needed..
I don't have time to say much but, my grandfather (who is currently 101 years old and will turn 102 January 1st) is in very critical condition in the hospital as of this morning. The doctors have informed us that things are not looking very good for him and have informed the family to come at once.
All we ask is that everything goes smoothly, he's a proud man and too stubborn to let sickness take him down before. If it is his time, then so be it, we just don't want him to feel any uncomfort. Thanks.

Done. I have a grandmother that is 102, so I'm sure I will face a similar situation soon.

Just letting you all know, he passed on today at 4:45pm, 3 weeks shy of his 102nd birthday.
It was relatively peaceful with no suffering. The doctor's were in complete shock in the condition he has survived through at his age over the past year and constantly reminded the family he was a living miracle. There is not a man I respect any more than him. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences Neuqua, I felt the same way about my Grandmother, over two years later I still miss her badly, but I am so grateful that she is my Grandmother, as I am sure you are about your Grandfather. You and your family are in my prayers.

Sorry to hear that Neuqua...even in the best of circumstances (which this seemed to be -- relatively peaceful, and after 101 years of life) this is never easy.
