Bama Job

Who do you want to see get it?

They need a veteran and someone who can be trusted and can clean the program up.

I vote Dennis Green. Sure he hasnt recruited since his days at Stanford but I think he is a great a choice. He will learn the ropes quickly.

Will it happen? I doubt it. I know about the whole black coach and SEC history, but I think its a great move. It will bring respect to the Bama football program which it desperatly needs now. All he has to do is win.

I hear the other canadiates are Nick Saban (he will never leave for a sanctioned program), Tom Coughlin (a good choice also), and Sparky Woods. Woods would just hold the fort until the program gets back on stead ground. Either way they need a class act.

Your thoughts?

It was said on a Espn article that maybe Slyvester Croom a Player from the Bear Bryant Led Bama teams.. who is a Assistant for the packers, would be the best choice.. I tend To agree

Bama will not hire outside its program again, i can almost guarentee that.

Why is hiring outside so bad?

It's not so bad, but 'Bama is amongst the most tradition-obsessed programs there is. They will certainly want to try to get a former player/former coach rather than hire someone with no real ties to the school.

The funniest name I saw in one of the articles was David Shula!

Maybe it was Mike Shula's name I saw. I started laughing at the sight of Shula, so maybe I missed the first name.

Its Mike Shula.. he was a qb at Bama

And if they hire Denny Green.. he'll likely show up at recruits homes who signed to go to Auburn after Signing day

He does have to keep the Viking tradition of Lateness going
