I have a hard time saying this, because I was brought up in Boston, and when you're brought up here, you're indoctrinated to believe anyone wearing a 76ers uniform was evil. No ifs ands or buts. Moses Malone was a mass of sharpened elbows. Doctor J was the Prince of Darkness. Charles Barkley was the Clown Prince of Hell.

But Allen Iverson can play some serious ball. I just finished watching him kill the New Orleans Hornets hosts. He got that gleam in his eyes at the end of the game. He wanted that basketball more then everyone else combined. He was saying "Just get me the damn ball and climb on my back".

In front of a rabid New Orleans crowd, Iverson scored the last six points for the 76 ers, including a clutch shot from the corner, and a pretty much clinching fallaway shot with the shot clock running down with two men in his face, he takes the shot.. and banks it home.

The NBA should know what they have on his hands. In basketball skills, and DESIRE, this guy's the next Larry Bird.

to bad he's not nearly as good of a shooter, but it's amazing how nothing seems to stop him.
