I guess I'd be more impressed if some of these folks weren't quasi-celebrities at best. Is it really that much of a coincedence, given how common some of those names are? I could list at least five presidents that share the same name as former Blue Jay outfielders -- you could probably come up with any number of coincedences involving president names, probably some that were much more striking than famous Georges.

My point isn't that it's really difficult tofind lots of people with the same first name... my point is that this particular list or names happens to have that exact same property with one specific first name.

If you gave me your list of Bue Jay outfielders, wouldn't you also be surprised if I suiddenly said -- hey, I bet you didn't notice, but there's yet another weird coincidence about these guys on top of that -- they all share names with Nobel prize winners, too!

That's my point -- not that it's absurdly weird to find five famous guys named George [Presidential surname], but rather that those exact names would just happen to appear in a puzzle question where you're being asked to find the common thread between the entries on the list.
