LB Need?

I am new to the forum, but have been a pats fan for decades.

Drafting a TE in the third round? What happened to the LB need? This was a strange pick since we have two good Tight Ends.

we drafted ANOTHER TE? Okay I just might take off my IBIT bracelet. I think this guy has a ridiculous hard-on for TE's. Seriously, with Watson and Graham I wouldn't even have wanted us to pick Vernon Davis if he was available. Jeezus Bill, how about replacing some of your LB's who are all eligible for senior citizens discounts next year!?!?!

dola

and don't tell me Martin Grammatica is our plan to replace Automatic Adam?!?!?

(not that we should have drafted a K this early, but I'd like to see them take one somewhere in this draft!)

course we'll prolly end up with TE's and DT/DE's from here on out. *barf*

Puzzling, I agree. I guess they thought the LBs (other than the top ones), just don't fit their scheme. That said, I would like to have seen them go with another position in that round. In terms of why? They use the TEs a lot, and I think Belichick once said they need 3 solid TEs for their system. With Fauria gone, they only have the 2. Also, Graham is a FA next year I think, so perhaps they're thinking they wont be keeping him.

Both of you make some good points concerning the TEs.
