What's more fun, the draft or the Super Bowl?

Is it just me, or can the draft be more fun than the actual championship game? All the teams are involved. It provides hope for almost all the teams. There is no shitty, overblown rock concert. And women don't rush into the room to watch the commercials!

As crazy as it seems, I do think the Draft is more fun. The SuperBowl is just a depresseing day.... watching the game with casual fans and realizing you'er about to go 7 months without football.

Only the Super Bowl gives you Winners and Losers.

The Draft is a 2 day commercial for the your NFL team. They will spend the entire 2 days talking about how the player they just picked is exactly what they needed.

There are no Losers on Draft Day. Since a players NFL ability will not be known until years later everone can claim to be a winner.

I enjoy the draft, but it is more like watching a good Chess match. It is entertaining, but no where near the thrill of watching the NFL Championship game.

Jets fans would disagree.

Actually, I've quite enjoyed watching the SB over the last few years.

As for the draft, I like it a lot, but come on. Out west here, I fall asleep at least 4-5 times before the top 10 are chosen.

I don't really care about the draft, nor do I care about all the junk leading up to it. I think it's interesting to see where the players go, but I'm fine with just reading it on a website at the end of the weekend. My vote on this poll is easy.

Draft, easily. Every team has some picks, some time to be in the spotlight, etc....

Aren't you a Lions fan? Doesn't that tend to make both events meaningless to you...

I like the speculation heading up to the draft, but the Super Bowl itself is more "fun" as it's an event where the draft is just something to keep an eye on.

Yes I am a Lions fan. I admit that. (The 1st step!)

The Super Bowl is something I have heard about, but am unimpressed with. The Lions don't have to be a part of this "Super Bowl" to prove anything. In fact, the rest of the league can play their game, we will play ours, thank you very much!

The SB never tends to live up to the hype. The game seems a distant second to all the crap that surrounds it, and the product on the field generally reflects that. The draft offers possibility.

Nothing can be better than the game itself. But as an event the SB just is overdone. If we were talking about removing all the crap from the SB and just holding a championship game, then I would have to go with it all the way. But when I spend half the time during the game avoiding what is on TV, that takes away from the enjoyment. With the draft, it's all about seeing the Lions draft another reciever or seeing if Minnesota can make a pick on time!

Draft... easily... It is always interesting every year (because there is always a surprise), and every team's got all of its hopes.

Interesting doesn't always equal fun. Super Bowl is an event that you can have fun watching by yourself or with others. Draft is mostly just sitting around waiting and listening to the people on the TV over-analyze everything. The "idea" of the draft is great, but the draft itself is rather boring IMHO. If the draft had a drop down speed setting box, than it would become more fun.

SuperBowl is also an event that has been prone to blowouts with crap halftime shows. NFC and AFC Championship Games Week is far more 'fun'.

I know... but I made my choice. I usually enjoy the draft more... especially if I'm online to debate/mock the picks.

I prefer the Super Bowl, just to watch the game. The Draft is fun..but, it's just annoying because you have to wait that much longer for the season to start.

If they could do the entire draft in around 3 hours then it would be exciting. 15 minutes between picks get a little borring. The 1st round alone took over 5 hours last year.

How can anyone call standing in line for 5 hours fun?

It's all about the analysis and talking between picks.

Anyone ever go to NYC for it? I've been talking about it with my brother, sister, and brother-in-law, and will probably do it one of these years.

the Super Bowl is more fun.

at least when the Super Bowl gets boring you can enjoy the commercials. after the 15th pick in the draft when guys you never heard of are getting selected by a team you don't give a shit about - now that's boring.

I voted draft because I usually remember it as opposed to the superbowl when I am usually in a drunken stuper.

Actual game > Talking about said game

That said, Conference Championship Sunday is by far the top day on the tackle football calendar for me and the end of the "real" season. Two games, only rarely do they both suck, and no neutral venues or non-fans.

Draft day is entertaining in every sport for the reason mentioned above, even moreso if you're familiar with the players. I hate college football with a passion so I'm probably in the minority here, but who knows.

The 2nd and 3rd weekend of the playoffs (Division and Conference Finals) are the best by far, for me.
