Have these announcers ever played sports?

It's obvious that Paulus was celebrating and accidentally hit the BC player.

True, but he did make contact with the BC player, inadvertant or not, which started the whole thing. I think the call was correct.

I agree with the call on both players. But you are right Dickhead V and Patrick acted like they never saw anyone celebrate before.

I totally agree that the call was correct, but it took them like 10 minutes to figure out what happened.

Are you people crazy? There was no celebrating about it. Pawlus went after the BC player. Watch the replay. It is pretty obvious he was getting a lick in.

Did you not see the player on the bench push Paulus? That's what made Greg fall forward and when he celebrated he hit the BC player.

I watched the replay several times. It looked to me like he got up really excited, bumped his head into the player and accidentally hit him when he was doing his celebratory fist pump/swing.

And you could tell he didn't mean to go after him when you saw the look of surprise on his face when the BC player retaliated...

i honestly have been pleasantly surprised this year by how close BC has played Duke in both of these games. And part of that is a function of Duke's lack of depth and the fact they aren't blowing teams out this year...but still.

I think the BC player said something smart to him. He had regained his balance after he was pushed. He went into him hard. It was not a friendly pat on the back. He will deny it but he went after him.

I think Reddick will be a good pro. I know a lot of people say all he's got is jumper, but Reggie Miller made a career out of that. If he continues to work on all aspects of his game, I think Reddick can be a shooting specialist, really helping a team like Detroit or San Antonio off the bench, rather like Kerr and Paxson for the Bulls in the 90's.

Hope this means they get a 3 (seed that is).. if they won I think they would have gotten a 2.

#1 overall. I don't think so Dickie V. Did he already forget that they lost to FSU and UNC about a week ago and they barely made it past Miami.

UCONN is still the #1 overall seed IMO.

yeah but king...you're forgetting that Dickie V is to Duke what McCarver is to the Yankees. A homer broadcaster on a national TV station.

damm craig smith for not passing out of the doubleteam there with ~11 seconds left on the inside. that was BC's chance to tie it up.

This was the best game I saw all year, with Gonzaga/MSU being a very solid runner-up.

I honestly dont know who should be the #1 overall seed, but UConn did lose to Syracuse earlier in the week and Nova lost to Pitt. Those three seem to be the locks for the #1 seeds right now. I think it comes down between UConn and Duke for the #1 overall and the deciding factor might be that Duke won their conference tourney while UConn didnt win a game in theirs.

UConn does not deserve the number 1 seed after getting beat by Syracuse. I do not think any team is really deserving of it, so I think it will go to Duke by default.

Dickie V and Patrick are the absolute worst announcers in college basketball. Listening to them today was horrible.

I think Billy Packer is the worst hands down. The guy contradicts on consecutive possessions. I will agree that Dicky V is bad but I think Packer is worse.

Well the MSU-Gonzaga game was #1 in my book. I don't think anything else was close. I'm not sure if you thought I was being sarcastic with my comment, it's just that I didn't think this particular Duke game was very interesting, and definitely not on the level of MSU-Gonzaga.

I think I tend put a little more weight on a game near the end of the season than a December game. Not sure if that makes sense, in terms of how good a game it was/is but it definitely figured into my thoughts on those two games.

I really didn't get the impression you were being sarcastic. But if you had offered up a game like Syracuse/Conn (which I did not watch, since it took place on a Thursday afternoon) then I would have gone back to the notion of games that I had seen, as opposed to watching highlights on SportsCenter.

I'm loving the highlight retrospective, but I wish they hadn't stolen the Saving Private Ryan soundtrack.

MSU/Gonzaga was by far the most exciting game to watch this season.
