I forwarded that to my wife. I felt dirty doing so. On the other hand, she has earned 5 GBDs in the past week, so I guess all is good.

I wonder if this contract was presented to the wife before or after they were married? If before, she should have seen whatever happened to her coming a mile away.

Here's an interesting snopes community discussion about it, until it got off on a strange tangent.

Since there will be no trading, negotiations, or conciliations of any kind you are given chances to earn Good Behavior Days (GBD's). To receive GBDs you are to be totally compliant with everything requested or expected of you, and perform everything with complete and total enthusiasm. In addition GBDs will be given when you do things from the descriptions below when not expected. If you try to perform something not expected and I tell you no you will recieve half GBDs. Specific GBD info is listed at the bottom right of each description.

To see more, go to page 2 of the contract.

Thanks. In my current relationship, going on 4 years, I think together we have accumulated zero of those.

I thought this was going to be a thread about the guy who was forced to marry a goat after he was caught in the act, but as it's not, here's the link

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/4748292.stm

I love the comment 'as far as we know they are still together'

Does that mean that those Frat boyz have to marry their goat also?

Quit misquoting the guy. At the end, he clearly states that it is not a contract, but a set of rules for her.

Plus, am I the only one that doesn't have a problem with this? I mean she doesn't have to go along with it, but presenting it to her as what he would like in the marriage is part of the open communications that are vital to a successful marriage.

Man, if I gave my old lady a paper like that the only open communication would be pain....

Mine too. But, you see, that's a classic example of not welcoming open communication in the marriage.

Great spin! Are you a lawyer or a politician? Either way, I now have a talking point in my discussion to get my wife to sign the dotted line.
