Does the PC version allow you to let the hitter swing without human control? Basically just use his attributes without the human player using his own hand eye coordination.

Not that I'm aware of. IF you want, you can set the controller to CPU after you start the game - esentially running a GM mode type game. But you won't be able to make pitching changes, etc.

This link is to a HUGE project worked on at mvpmods. It combines a TON of mods and basically makes MVP 05 for the PC, MVP 06.

I'm downloading this when I get home and checking it out. I was VERY happy with MVP 05 on the PC and well, this mod will probably save me from worrying about a console 06 baseball game.

I can't lie, all debt is owed to bjackets of the digitalsportspage forum... and of course the great modders at mvpmods.

Music to my ears!! I haven't been able to download it yet as I really need to go to bed early tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get some time in on Friday night or Saturday.

no glaring problems.

on the good side -- i have noticed some hits in places where i wouldn't previously get hits (wall-scraping balls against the monster and such...line drives falling in). the only games i've played have been at fenway park, and frankly I didn't enjoy the new texture of the grass they put in there (it looks not that great) but i can't speak for any other stadiums as to that.

Even though I'm really into the college game right now, this mod seems very impressive. Does the PC version with this mod seem to have more rigorous contract negotiations or is it still easy to sign top FA's for low offers?

still seems pretty damm easy. i just got victor zambrano for <7 mil a year for a multiyear deal. and there's still the problem with killer FA's being signable on the cheap (mike hampton for 100k/yr auto-resigned after i cut him to wiggle out from under his salary)

This Mod is mainly an update to the roster with MLB moves up to date, graphics for stadiums, uniforms, cyberfaces, team potraits, bater and pitcher displays and they edit the datafile to make walks more realistic.

also they also adjusted the outfield and infield player position on the field to be more realistic.

the rest plays like mvp 2005.

its a great update if you have mvp 2005 pc.

Too bad, that was the only major flaw in MVP 05 for me.

yeah. but with a little bit of "house-rules" it's alright to play. especially because if you're playing out every single game entirely, one season can take FOREVER in a baseball sim
