He's what, 24-4 as a starter or something, with similiar numbers in college. Did he luck onto the right college team as well?

What?

Im searching for the definition of pond scum. I guess it has something to do with records and a hall of fame career.

Aside from Kitna, Palmer, Anderson, Klingler, Blake, and whomever else, who would think is BETTER than Palmer? Or, is he the second coming of QBs?

Can't speak on college. Nobody is saying he's bad anyway.

Starting a team tomorrow who do you take?

All I said is I hate Dan Marino.

Actually he's 27-4 as a starter.

Starting a team tomorrow I take Brady, but Roethlisberger is real close. They're seen in similiar ways in that the success of their team somehow makes them 'underrated.' Both of them can make every throw on the field, are very athletic and mobile, and have demonstrated more than once that they are clutch.

You do have to admit that he's in the perfect situation though and only has had to throw half as much as the majority of the other top guys.

Let me see him make 470-500 attempts in a season, keep up this pace and then I'm convinced.

I had it out with Tekneek on this one day about a year ago.

In short I think it's a gigantic cop out to say that Marino suffered because he had no running game.

First of all you really think Marino would allow a coach to take the ball out of his hands enough to run consistently? I doubt it. The guy's head was enormous and his ego hurt his team..IMO. Never once did he throw a bad pass. Constant yelling at everyone for fucking up. Guy never made a mistake.

I never considered him to be a good leader. Sure he's got all the numbers, the quick release and skill but all this pity for the guy because he never won the big one makes me sick. A lot of it was his own doing. His playoff record is shaky at best raw numbers wise. 24 post season interceptions in 18 games? 56% passer?

Anywho, flame away.

Oh and I was a suffering Pats fan sitting on a metal bench at Foxboro Stadium.

I don't think it's close. Like Rkmsuf said, let him carry an offense rather than be a cog in a well oiled machine and we can talk. Starting a franchise today I'd take:

Brady
Palmer
Manning
McNabb
Roeth

You haven't suffered until you've sat on a metal bench at Foxboro Stadium and had to watch a tractor pull.

Point, winner.

Although the coldest I've ever been in life was at a 31-0 december pats win over Indy. I had on 4 trash bags and it felt like I was an ice cube.

The best was the jackass in our row that every game would start yelling "Push over! Push over!" if he wasn't exactly on his little sticker number on the metal bench.

Good times.

I live in NH and yes I've been to a monster truck show.

One question...does it have to be THAT loud?

I all seriousness, during the state fair season, horse and tractor pulling are big events around MA, NH and ME.

You know, if you'd let us know that you needed warm clothing for the winter, I'm sure we would have taken up a collection.

Western Mass has a lot of rednecks. Imagine a Masshole with a shotgun rack and bad attitude. The best of both worlds!

I thought my spiderman underoos, larry bird ball hugger shorts and my "who farted" t-shirt along with 4 trash bags would have been enough.
