actually, he's two SPP from his next skill.

0-5 - Zero Rolls
6-15 - One Roll
16-30 - Two Rolls

KWhit 03-07-2006 11:03 PM

Yeah, I know. I didn't mean to say he got a skill tonight. Just saying that for me, 14 spps is a lot after 2 games.

SirFozzie 03-07-2006 11:05 PM

this is where you start looking into getting your catchers Nerves of Steel: 2+ Pass, 2+ catch.. on a long bomb? It could happen :)

KWhit 03-07-2006 11:10 PM

Hmmmm..... :)

Abe Sargent 03-07-2006 11:43 PM

I lost 2-0 but one of my Darkies - a blitzer, got a +agi.

-Anxiety

SirFozzie 03-07-2006 11:47 PM

Anxiety: Nerxt skill for him? Strip Ball. That way you can blitz into a cage, roll a 1db and about 75% of the time, that ball is coming out.

One of the sickest players I ever saw was a Wardancer with +AG and Strip Ball. He could leap anywhere on a 2+ and then strip the ball away. Sick. Sick Sick Sick.

Till the day he rolled 1 Rerolled 1. He hit the ground, and the entire other team surrounded him and fouled him to death :)

SirFozzie 03-07-2006 11:47 PM

anyway, I sleep now, but will able to play tommorrow after work then three days off :)

MIJB#19 03-08-2006 07:21 AM

I registered a team the other night. Alf showed me how it's played (or more like how I shouldn't play this game. :D). Once I get the hang of this game, I might be up for daring my Orcs face off with any of your teams. ;)

As good as dead.

SirFozzie 03-08-2006 12:56 PM

heheheh. I love Elf teams. They inspire SO much anger and frustration. But then when you beat them down it's so much FUN.

One of the greatest gifts of Nuffle is a +AG Wardancer. The greatest is the +ST Wardancer.

EDIT: Yes, I have had both...

One more thing, Got Woodie?

Oh it was much fun, especially as the foul roll was:

1,2 (normally wouldn't break swiss cheese, but with the amount of assists, it was MORE then enough)

Injury roll: 6,6.. (Orc Coach starts cheering, Wood Elf coach swears, because he's already used his apocathery..)

Cas Roll: 6! DEAD, DEAD DEAD.. DEAD!!!!!! There was much screaming and pointing at the dice :)

I was lucky the Dark Elves were a man down. I'm not sure things would have turned out as they did, if we were evenly matched. It didn't help matters that I got very lucky with casualty rolls in the first half, and further reduced the number of skinny blue guys running about the pitch.

Since we are talking about skillups... Are we using Ageing? One of my guys aged, but didn't pickup the negative trait. Is that a league or a team option(I didn't know it was an option)?

So I've got a Chaos Dwarf with guard, and my Bull earned Break Tackle.

First rule as a Woodie coach, only use your designated killer, I mean apothecary, when on a dying or SI WD. Everyone else can be replaced.

I was once playing a table top miniature game. It was a fantasy/Samaurai type game. My objective was to hold a bridge, and the opposing force was lead by an Undead Troll Chieftan. The guy had ten HP, and only failed saves on a one(ten sided die). I was just barely holding on, and it came down that I likely only had one more turn to take him out, as he was almost certainly going to break my unit on his next turn. Essentially, if we lost the bridge, the opponent would have turned our flank. The troll chieftan had three hit points left, and I rolled three hits in my last gasp effort to take him out. Whar(another rare fofc poster) picked up his dice to make the saving throw. We pretty much had everyone's attention, as it was a pivotal moment in the game. I think I still have a picture of the three dice sitting on the table, all ones.<--it was for the group news letter.

Yup. The same rule applies for one turn scorers on Skaven or Wood Elf teams.

Not only will folks be gunning for them, folks consider them the epitome of cheese (even more then a bashy team player), and in a lot of cases, refuse to play a team with one or more of them.

Something not very well known, you can have a MV8 or MV9 guy score in one turn as a rookie. It's hard to do, but it can be done.

SirFozzie 03-08-2006 03:41 PM

You either need a quicksnap, or a favorable defense to get push blocks though :)

Airhog 03-08-2006 04:23 PM

well, I should be around for a game tonight. Around 7cst or so. I was finally able to get a Troll slayer for my team. My next move will probably be another slayer, then another re-roll

Most standard defenses will work, but yeah, you're right.

Abe Sargent 03-08-2006 05:19 PM

I'm in and available.

-Anxiety

Katon 03-08-2006 05:46 PM

I'm here if anyone wants to play (you still there, Anxiety?).

KWhit 03-08-2006 06:28 PM

I'm around and looking for a game.

Katon 03-08-2006 06:32 PM

Game started with my undead, name FOFC.

Airhog 03-08-2006 07:10 PM

Its gonna be another 30 or so before I can play.

Katon 03-08-2006 07:43 PM

Ah, the joy of server difficulties.

KWhit 03-08-2006 07:44 PM

You there Katon?

Or are you disconnected?

KWhit 03-08-2006 07:44 PM

What do we need to do?

Katon 03-08-2006 07:45 PM

I'm still online, and I still have the client open.

I don't seem to be actually connected to the server, though.

Are you having problems, or is it just me?

KWhit 03-08-2006 07:46 PM

I can't tell really. I think I'm connected because it looks like I can chat, but it's your turn, so I can't do anything else.

Katon 03-08-2006 07:50 PM

I'm not connected. The client keeps trying to connect, then failing because 'game name FOFC is already taken'. Going to quit and start a new game using the latest save (.lnc). Help on how to load saves is at

http://fumbbl.com/help:SaveGames

KWhit 03-08-2006 07:51 PM

Looks like you have to load the save - I just join normally.

Katon 03-08-2006 07:52 PM

game started, name katon

Airhog 03-08-2006 07:54 PM

okay I am starting a game with my dwarven team...

FOFC2

Abe Sargent 03-08-2006 08:11 PM

I;m in Airhog.

-Anxiety

SirFozzie 03-08-2006 08:51 PM

I'm here and willing to play anyone after that game. :)

KWhit 03-08-2006 09:03 PM

Katon,

Something's still screwy with our game. It says waiting for report next to both our teams. Anybody know what we need to do to fix that?

KWhit and Katon: Fill out support reports, and get it to the FUMBBL guys. Your reports apparently didn't match.

After a crash, make sure you guys sync up afterwards :)

Send a report, and state that whoever had the save game had the right copy.

Basically there's a disagreement with regards to either SPP or Injured players.

Where do I find that? I checked in the results folder and I have a bunch of previous game files in there but don't seem to have the one between me a Katon.

SirFozzie 03-08-2006 09:09 PM

when the person who joins a save game is done, right click on the chat text or the text that has the results of the rolls and stuff, and choose Sync Game.. to opposing player.

(this is before a game ends, of course)

KWhit 03-08-2006 09:10 PM

And I should mention, it never gave me the "boxscore" screen like it usually does after the game was over. I wonder if the game on my end never truly finished.

I meant what do I send to support? It asks for a .zip file, but the only ones i have in my results folder are from other games - not the one I just played.

SirFozzie 03-08-2006 09:17 PM

Ok.. that I'm not sure on. hold on.

A dead catcher, to be precise, who managed the rare feat of being on the pitch for both teams at the same time courtesy of the server foulup.

I've submitted a report.

I had a result, yes.

But that's not actually what I'm talking about. In addition to the Report Match button (which I've used) there's also a link that says "Support" in the red bar near the top of the screen. That's where to go to submit a request for help. No match file required.
