Thank You Peter Moore for the smartest thing that you have done in his tenure at EA Sports....

It's been said so many times in this forum... it's the best thing that this game wasn't released... the backlash after the demo and the promises that were made during creation process that were not answered or fulfilled...

While some people think that this game should be released on the 5th.. the majority of the people on this website and other basketball/sports gaming websites knew that this game was no where near ready to be put into stores and the sale totals would have shown it.. In even though in most case it's 24 before it was supposed to be shipped (I'm assuming this because i used to be a store manager for gamestop and EA games are normally shipped a week early) You have finally have listened to the people and the millions of fans that play NBA Games on all consoles worldwide..

Now since you have listened to us now.. here is what you can do to help for the next NBA title when ever it is to be released.

1. Start a website or refer to the NBA Live Wish list that is online to get the best ways and features to start from scratch. Or if you think that takes up time and effort.. Take Live 10 pre-patch and work on the things that made the game infective.

2. Get a focus group and figure out your target market. Don't sell us an NBA simulation that is 70/30 arcade to Sim. Because i hate to say.. that won't sell to the Sim Nation at all. If you want to give us Arcade fine.. then give us NBA Jam on all platforms... but i don't a hybrid game.. give SIM or give me nothing!!!!

3. I love what Dave has done with Hockey and he is a huge hockey guy.. but you need to find a NBA guy.. a passionate person who loves the sport and will give it his or her all to the game what it means.. I want a person who is driven to make this the best game on the market... not in 2 to 3 years but now.. I'm a NBA lifer... and i can you show what the NBA should sound.. feel and play like..

4. Last but not least... this time around please fulfill as many promises as you make or don't make them at all. Don't tell me that were gonna get blogs or video showing us footage then you give me 5 seconds a replay clip that was not really from the game but could have pieced together.. give us insightful information... make us (the consumer) want to buy your game because in a lot of cases people will your game if you make good on promises and create a good product.

As i conclude this letter that i hope you.. developers.. and the designers and hardworking people of EA Sports understand that for over 20 years this company has been driven on making their games real... remember the old slogan of EA.. "If it's in the Game.. then it's in the Game!" So that you have decided to a break or a delay this year on NBA Basketball... please take a week off... play 18 holes at the course... and when you come to EA Canada remember what made this company great and what made all of love the NBA Series... from Dr. J vs Bird.. to Lakers v. Celtics.. to the Bulls v. Series.. to NBA Showdown.. to NBA Live!!! I as a NBA Gamer and Video Game Lifer is giving this company free pass this year. Please don't make me regret it!! (Aka NCAA Basketball 10 ring a bell??)

thanks... it's one of those things that had to be said... i want EA to back in the Basketball market being competive with 2K.. it makes for happier people and better gaming
