Another week is wrapping up in Diamond Dynasty. This week went by in standard fashion, and we got the Hunt for October pack on Friday. With that in mind, it's time to look ahead once again and try to predict who might be getting a ratings boost on Monday morning.
I'll be breaking the predictions into tiers based on my own confidence level:
Ratings Boost Probability: High
Francisco Lindor - So yeah, I think it's fair to say Francisco Lindor has stolen Carlos Correa's thunder. He's got five home runs this month, another five stolen bases, and he's hitting close to .400 during that time. Oh, and he has an OPS close to .850 in his rookie season. Plus, he's a good fielder. Rookie of the year.
Madison Bumgarner - It's hard to keep ignoring what Bumgarner is doing. It's another month where nobody can get on base against him, and it just seems like every time he goes out now there's no chance the Giants don't win the game.
Ratings Boost Probability: Medium
Shin-soo Choo - Choo is playing on a Rangers team on a roll, and he's heated up along with the team. In the last month, he's hitting over .360, which means his always beastly on-base percentage is well over .400.
Mookie Betts - Betts is just consistent. Five more home runs this month, a nice amount of steals, and he's hitting .370 in what's turned into a solid season for him.
Masahiro Tanaka - I honestly thought Tanaka's arm was going to fall off this season, so while he's only made 23 starts, he's been healthier than I thought. On top of that, he's pitching really well now and perhaps deserves to be bumped back up.
Ratings Boost Probability: Low
Corey Seager - Is it too early to bump him up? It's only been two weeks, but a slash line of .412/.508/.647 is rather ridiculous for the highly touted rookie.
Zack Greinke - He got a boost again last month, but the fact that Greinke's 1.91 ERA and .78 WHIP this month actually means his ERA has gone up as of late says pretty much everything there is to say about how dominant he's been this year.
