NBA2K16: MyCAREER, MyCOURT Details

If you haven't watched the NBA 2K16 MyCAREER Trailer: The Whole Story, please do so now. OK, you good? Now let’s start this post with what you all want to know:

Thanks to Spike Lee’s influence in #BeTheStory, MyCAREER high school and collegiate games are playable. I’m led to believe that only a select few games at each level will be playable, though. Don’t expect full seasons until you’ve made it to the NBA.

Colleges confirmed so far are the University of Texas and Kansas University. Visual Concepts secured the rights to 10 total schools, so there are still eight more to be revealed, some of which have potentially been uncovered.

MyCOURT, your new central hub for MyCAREER, is a fully customizable gym that you decide how to design. This hub also doubles up as a court you can play on with your friends. You can play your friends in a private scrimmage, shootaround, or treat the court as a lobby before you hop in 2K Pro-Am. Here are a few items you can customize in MyCOURT:

Trophy/achievement case
Shoe display
Floors
Walls
Rims
Backboards
Nets
Signed NBA jerseys

Off-Day Simulator is a new feature to help showcase the complete life of an NBA player. Here you will manages your time to between endorsements, connections and Live Practice.

Endorsement deals will require your time to ensure you meet contractual obligations.
Connections are relationships with players, legends and others that you build up; there are a variety of rewards from pre-game animations to getting the option to pick alternate jerseys.
Live Practice allows you to interact with coaches and teammates by participating in drills to improve attributes. These drills range from 5-on-5 to solo. The solo drills come straight from the mind of gameplay developer Scott O’Gallagher, who played professionally for a number of years.

Could it be also possible that we can create a college? With a college name database. I do understand that we'll only have 10 authentic colleges but I wonder if there are more.....fictional ones

As far as this mycourt feature goes.... like everyonesunset saying it does remind me of the cribs from NFL2K5, and just like NFL2K5 I feel like this game is turning out to be a tremendous dealike for the price of admission. Pre-ordered last week...I feel like this have been money well spent, ALREADY!

MyCourt sounds dope, but I hope we can choose the difficulty setting for scrims. It'll be silly to have all that customization but not have the option to choose your difficulty setting or play style. When playing for barging rights it's only right that the settings is on HOF/SIM. Hopefully we won't be stuck playing on pro settings like MyTeam Play With Friends.

I would assume that the family is generated in a way that is similar to Fallout. Assuming your family is going to be black makes as much sense as assuming you can't change the look of your player. Not all black MyPlayers look like that family. Chances are, you create your player and the family is generated based on how your player looks. At least that makes the most sense and I hope that is the case.

I hope BIG State is an option, a tribute for He Got Game. If not I'm hoping we get at least 9 college games. If there are 10 teams, it makes sense to play against each of the other teams ( and fictional if applicable) at least once. Unfortunately the NCAA tournament is unlikely since there is separate licensing for the tournament and March Madness. Hopefully we design our high school unis and court but I doubt it. I'm not expecting more than 5 high school games either. Honestly I'm hoping it's not a total of like 6 HS and college games.

Are we going to get Shot base and release again. LD acknowledged it on this week's stream. Maybe once we get our shooting up to a certain point? Or will we need a certain connection?

These dudes at 2k are always pushing the envelope and need to be commended. Some of these things they are implementing are sure to have some hiccups or some growing pains but the fact that they think big and take risks is so refreshing. I really don't want to start a debate but honestly I don't even know if it's that this is a direct result of a competitive market. NBA 2k always just feels like it's loved by the guys who make it and not just created to make money. Props guys.

In trailer in connections section there are Suns away practice jersey and Utah away jersey at the same time. What are we going to do with these jerseys? i think and also i hope we will choose jerseys for our team and for opponent team .Anyone know anything about this?

Cant frigging wait man.... going to get a squad.... and im hoping there is a stickied thread where we can challenge other squads on OS. Because im bout to be inviting people to my court so that they can get DUNKED on.

SO MANY QUESTIONS STILL LEFT UNANSWERED THAT I WANT TO KNOW ASAP!

1. Do we get exp points challenging other teams/people? even just a little? Understand people could invite there friends and just ball out to get exp, but they gotta be really good friends for you to do that.

2.Can we invite people from our pro am team and practice plays against no defense? Can we play against cpu for practice?

3. is pro am like nba lives? Can we play 5 other cpu? or do we need to play against another human controlled team? I hope the 5 other cpu is an option, because if there are cheese players, or mega lag, this will be my option.

4. If you have 5 men in your pro am team does matchmaking only find other teams with 5 players? Would it make loading times take forever? If you only have 3 players does it randomly make 2 other computer generated players? If so do they look at who you have on your team position wise, and create the rest? or look at the team you are facing and go from there.
