MLB 15 The Show: Diamond Dynasty Stock Watch (9-7-15)

Players On The Rise

It was a quiet update this week as I’m sure the Labor Day weekend brought about some needed rest and relaxation for the development team. The big note though is that there is a new member of the Diamond Club as Joey Votto was given a plus-three boost.

Beyond the Votto update, Edwin Encarnacion got some much needed love as well and took back his Gold status. Some youngsters also got a boost this week with Raisel Iglesias and Jackie Bradley Jr. both getting a boost. I put Encarnacion and Iglesias in my predictions column last week, so I was just a week early in predicting their increases.

Jake Arrieta is someone I put in my predictions column last week and this one, and it paid off staying true to Arrieta as he was boosted to a 90 overall this week. Lorenzo Cain also solidified his Gold status with a boost to 87 overall.

(All thanks go to Daddy Leagues for these numbers! They're so on the ball I no longer have to sync up before and after roster update video clips to do all the changes myself.)

Players On The Decline

It was an especially light week for declines this week. Almost every single player that went down in overall can be tied back to a position change. The biggest name on this list is Junichi Tazawa who was dropped two points to an 82 overall.

The August Topps 50 pack was released over the weekend.

Ratings Boost Prediction Results

Let's see how I did on my predictions this week (and as always come back over the weekend for next week's predictions):

-From the High Probability section I went: (2/2)

Arrieta was the easy call to make, and really Jackie Bradley Jr. was as well because he’s been unreal the last month of the season.

-From the Moderate Probability section I went: (1/3)

I hit on one of the two Royals picks I made as Lorenzo Cain did get a boost. I assume Arenado will get a boost next week.

-From the Low Probability section I went: (0/5)

I put up a stinker here, but my feeling is this was a small update so it’s hard to expect any “low probability” guys to be boosted.

New Players

There is 1 new player in Diamond Dynasty this week that will impact Collections:
  • Jason Pridie (OAK)
