Players On The Rise
Young players in the NL rejoice! It was a huge week for youth across the board, and it's perhaps even more pronounced in the National League. Syndergaard went Gold, Joe Ross jumped from Common to Silver, Ken Giles nearly went Gold, Carlos Martinez nearly went Gold, Matt Duffy became even more of a monster against right-handed pitching, Joe Panik became even more contact heavy, and Randal Grichuk finally got his bump up to Silver.
As for the major players, Jacob deGrom is now a 91 overall, Aroldis Chapman was bumped back to a 90, and Brandon Crawford finally got a power boost and became a Gold as well.

Players On The Decline
It was a light week for downgrades in the NL. Joc Pederson was probably the biggest loser as his power got sapped quite a bit, and his contact rates went down even further. Addison Russell was another young player dinged up, but it was really just to downgrade him against left handers.
Yadier Molina and Yasmany Tomas were sapped of power this week. On the physical attributes side of things, Dee Gordon was not downgraded via Overall, but he did lose some of his Stealing rating. Kris Bryant is another interesting one to point out. His rating dips seem to suggest he should have gone down more than minus-one overall, but because his Clutch and Discipline both shot up that saved him.
Lastly I want to point out poor Adam Loewen. Good on Loewen for switching from a position player to pitcher and making it back to the majors with the Phillies as a reliever. However, he was added this week and perhaps was still left with his hitting rather than pitching attributes. So he has his five-pitch mix, but he has a 0 in all major pitching categories, which leaves him as a 24 overall, which is far and away the worst player in Diamond Dynasty.

Market Changes
There was the
All I Do Is Win pack over the weekend. Also the market in general has become more expensive overall at the top end as people are getting more into the black market dealing of Stubs.
Ratings Boost Prediction Results
Let's see how I did
on my predictions this week (and as always come back over the weekend for next week's predictions):
-From the High Probability section I went: (1/2)
Iwakuma didn't get a bump from his no hitter, but perhaps next week will be the time. Chris Davis did get boosted, but it was through a technicality as his primary defensive position was swapped.
-From the Moderate Probability section I went: (0/3)
I went super conservative this week and tried to avoid players who had been touched in the major update as I wasn't sure they would be so quickly changed again. Thus, some players I would have put on this list did not make the cut, and I missed out on all three of my choices.
-From the Low Probability section I went: (2/3)
Putting two younger players here paid off as Randal Grichuk and David Peralta got bumped up this week.
New Players (NL)
There are 4 new players in Diamond Dynasty this week that will impact Collections:
-
Matt Marksberry (ATL)
-
Adam Loewen (PHI) -- 24 Overall(!), something went awry with his ratings
-
Jose Peraza (LAD)
-
Matt McBride (COL)
