Players On The Rise

OOPS! So I had gone with the trend of assuming the major re-ratings evaluation would occur this week. But that just did not happen. We'll have to assume it's coming next week instead.

In its place this was a very small update where the only ratings changes were based on position switches. Therefore, by default the big risers were players moving from relieving back to starting.

Tier Changes

(All thanks go to Daddy Leagues for these numbers! They're so on the ball I no longer have to sync up before and after roster update video clips to do all the changes myself.)

  • Chris Bassitt went from Common to Bronze
Full List Of Changes

Tyler Wilson +5 boost in Overall rating (63 Overall)
Chris Bassitt +4 (71)
Tanner Roark +4 (84)
David Phelps +4 (75)
Jeanmar Gomez +3 (67)
Pedro Villarreal +4 (59)
Juan Nicasio +4 (68)

Players On The Decline

So everything I said about players on the rise also applies to players on the decline. The players who went through position changes are the ones who got dinged with a drop in overall.

Tier Changes
  • Joe Blanton went from Bronze to Common
  • Taylor Jordan went from Bronze to Common
  • Josh Collmenter went from Silver to Bronze
Full List Of Changes

Dellin Betances -1 (89)
Ernesto Frieri -1 (72)
Steve Pearce -3 (72)
Bud Norris -4 (72)
Joe Blanton -5 (67)
Trevor May -5 (62)
Drew Ver Hagen -4 (62)
Taylor Jordan -4 (68)
Sammy Solis -4 (64)
Taylor Hill -4 (59)
Jenrry Mejia -1 (75)
Mike Foltynewicz -4 (72)
Jake Brigham -5 (63)
Josh Collmenter -5 (75)
LaTroy Hawkins -2 (74)

Market Changes

There was the introduction of the All-Star packs over the weekend. These packs cost between 15-50K so they mostly were cost prohibitive enough to not shake up the market too much.

Ratings Boost Prediction Results

Let's look at all the egg on my face as I assumed the big ratings re-evaluation would happen this week.

New Players

There are 13 new players in Diamond Dynasty this week that will impact Collections (including Miguel Sano and the elusive Lance McCullers):

  • Mychal Givens (BAL)

  • Jonathan Aro (BOS)
  • Miguel Sano (MIN)
  • Lance McCullers (HOU)
  • Manny Banuelos (ATL)
  • Ryan Kelly (ATL)
  • Tommy Pham (STL)
  • Marcus Hatley (STL)
  • Clayton Richard (CHC)
  • Ronny Cedeno (SF)
  • Carlos Triunfel (SF)

Everyone got me all hyped up that something huge was going to be happening today.

I felt like a kid at Christmas who asked for a huge toy and found a pair of socks when I opened the box.

Next week I guess.

Matt Duffy should be getting a huge boost. Hitting about .290 and 41 RBIs, only like a 69 overall.

Darkhorse ROY candidates Matt Duffy and Billy Burns should be getting some boosts.

And he has been pretty solid on defense and as a baserunner.
Can you believe that we almost gave Pablo a huge extension?

Yeah. Thank God that he felt slighted by management not to give him the extension the previous offseason. It seems he didn't want to be somewhere that wanted to monitor how in shape he'd be. I hope Duffy gets a big boost.
