With the help of NHLView, an unofficial roster editor built by independent programmer Artem Khassanov, NHL 15 fans have uncovered the full attribute ratings for most of the game's retired legends.
Electronic Arts added 13 Hall of Famers (pictured above) to Ultimate Team on November 10, but to date, the company has failed to make these players viewable in NHL 15's official roster sorter, or usable in any outside game modes.
So if you're wondering whether or not these special edition cards are worth the thousands of coins they command on Ultimate Team's auction block, Operation Sports has gathered this information to help gamers become more informed buyers.
Do note that the overall ratings for Wayne Gretzky's and Mario Lemieux's Ultimate Team cards don't match NHLView's data, so it's very likely that both players had their attributes decreased slightly for HUT. I'd guess that their 99-rated categories were reduced to something more reasonable, like a 95 or a 96. This disparity explains why Gretzky and Lemieux are listed on the “Legends” team in NHLView, whereas the 11 other Hall of Famers show up under the “Hidden” team.
The overall rating for Mike Modano also reads differently in HUT (88 overall) than it does in NHLView (92 overall), though Modano's case seems very similar to Pavel Datsyuk's. For some reason, Datsyuk's 89 overall rating in HUT appears four points lower than his 93 overall rating on the regular NHL 15 roster, despite how similarly both versions of Pavel play on the ice.
The overall ratings for all the other legends match up perfectly, supporting the accuracy of NHLView's data:
Mike Bossy, right wing (92 overall)
Ray Bourque, defenseman (92 overall)
Pavel Bure, right wing (92 overall)
Doug Gilmour, center (88 overall)
Wayne Gretzky, center (96 overall in HUT, 99 overall in NHLView)
Jari Kurri, right wing (92 overall)
Mario Lemieux, center (92 overall in HUT, 99 overall in NHLView)
Nicklas Lidström, defenseman (94 overall)
Eric Lindros, center (92 overall)
Luc Robitaille, left wing (89 overall)
Patrick Roy, goalie (97 overall)
Joe Sakic, center (92 overall)
