Anticipation builds for wrestling fans awaiting the release of WWE '13. In just under two months, fans will get to play as their favorite superstars in the squared-circle. With the biggest roster ever released on a wrestling game, the possibilities of matches are endless.
The “Attitude Era” is a big addition to WWE '13 this year, and one that many fans, myself included, will enjoy. A mix of current superstars and “Attitude Era” superstars should make for some interesting matches.
These are four dream matches to play with in WWE '13:
You can play in two eras in WWE 13, which makes for some interesting match possibilities.
4. Dolph Ziggler vs. Shawn Michaels (Ladder Match)
This match would be an unbelievably entertaining one on WWE '13. Dolph Ziggler is a rising superstar today, and a seriously impressive athlete. Shawn Michaels, well, the name almost speaks for itself. Michaels is a hall of fame wrestler, who is regarded as one of the best of all time.
It would be the “Show-off” against the “Showstopper,” two great entertainers full of charisma and talent.
A high-paced back and forth battle would take place with some high-flying moves, some ground game, and exciting finishers. This would be one heck of a slobber knocker.
3. The A.P.A. vs. The Road Warriors (Tag Team Match)
This match would be a tag team dream come true. Bradshaw and Farooq, who formed the Acolyte Protection Agency, or A.P.A., were as powerful a tag team as any other duo. A possible exception may be the Road Warriors, Animal and Hawk. When it comes to WWE tag teams, the Road Warriors are usually near the top of the list.
Both teams were very similar with their power and toughness. This would be a fun one to see, and an even better one to play.
2. Chris Jericho vs. Bret Hart (Submission Match)
This match would have all the makings of one of the greatest ever. A submission match between two wrestlers, with two of the greatest submission finishers ever fits the perfect mold for this match. Whoever taps first, loses.
Bret “The Hitman” Hart was one of the most technically sound wrestlers of all time. Once he locked in the sharpshooter, it was over. Hart has eliminated many superstars with the sharpshooter, and this match could turn out the same way.
Chris Jericho is also one of the best technical wrestlers in WWE history. Jericho has locked in the “Walls of Jericho” to countless opponents throughout his career. Most of those opponents didn’t fare well once the finisher was locked in.
We’ve seen so many great submission matches in the past, but this one may take the title.
It's hard to top the attitude era. But now you can see which is better.
1. John Cena, Randy Orton, CM Punk vs. The Rock (Attitude Era), Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Triple H (Attitude Era) (Six-Man Tag Team Match)
This match has main event written all over it.
Randy Orton is the Apex Predator, and can strike with his RKO at any time. This makes him as dangerous as anyone in this match.
CM Punk claims that he’s the best in the world, which is debatable. However, he is a very good wrestler with great mat skills and two nice finishing moves to boot.
John Cena has been around for awhile now, and you know what you get from him. Cena brings it every night, with aggressiveness, strength, and a never give up attitude. His resiliency may be an edge in this match.
Triple H is the King of Kings. He has been around the block and back, dominating and winning match after match. The Cerebral Assassin has made a career of knocking opponents out with his patented pedigree.
Stone Cold Steve Austin needs no introduction. He may be the toughest man to ever lace up the boots. Austin wouldn’t hesitate to give the stunner to anyone in the ring, including his own team members.
The Rock is the Great One. He is the People’s Champion. He is the most electrifying man is sports and entertainment. One rock bottom, or people’s elbow, and you can pretty much stay down for the count.
Modern superstars of this wrestling era against the hall of fame talent of the “Attitude Era” may be the dream match of all dream matches. These six superstars may be the greatest of their time, and everyone loves to play with the best.
Maybe we'll never get to see these matches on television, but we can make those dream matches come true in WWE '13.
What about you OS'ers, what are your dream matches you plan to play out in WWE 13?
