Rondo has advantages on the defensive end that Rose doesn't have. I know yall played that demo Rondo is uber aggressive on defense and got 2.3 steals per game last year. I mean the guy is 1st team all defense in the NBA last year and he was on the second team the year before last. He led the league in steals, 4th in assists as well so I say his passing ratings should be better than Rose. So his awareness is probably better Rebounding Rondo is a better rebounder not just defense but offense. Neither are great perimeter shooters Rose is slightly better than Rondo but he isn't great from the perimeter. Rose is slightly better than Rondo from the freethrow line but he isn't great.
Rose advantage to me is his athleticism so his dunk rating would be higher. So I see why Rondo get the edge.

i don't get what all the crying is about jennings. dude can't shoot period.
that alone is going to hurt him in the ratings. he's flashy, super streaky and he's not a good defender be happy with the rating he has.
most of the ratings are fine but some need to be tweaked a little.
the only one that is 10000000% off is the one for kleiza lmao. He should be in the high 60s at least.
some of the ratings that need to be tweaked are :
- CP3 is rated too high. He and DWill should have the same rating. There is a reason why 50% of people think CP3 is better and the other 50% think deron is
- Dirk is rated too low, only needs 1 or 2 more points though
- There is no explanation you can give me as to why Wall would be a 81 coming out of the box. Let him show that he can actually play in the nba before you put him in the 80s. That should be standard for all rookies. IMO he should be 78 at the max.
- Mgee, though raw is good enough to be in the low 60s.
- And finally tony parker. Dude has been injured but he's not a 78. no way. Gotta be in the 80s as well. If you going to dock him for his injuries do the same with Paul.

I think playoff numbers are part of it. How can you explain Rondo being an 87. Granted, he had a really good year last season, but his playoff push really put him on the map for the casual basketball fan. If he didn't have that performance, I think he would've been closer to an 84.

Not really feeling these ratings....Drose should be atleast 88 or 90 and Noah gotta be an 80, John Wall should be in the 70's by far and where is Dwights 91.

He averages 8.5 rebounds for his career. Amare average 8.9...so does Gasol
Amare's an 86 and Gasol's an 89. None of the 3 defend or block shots well.
Oh and sorry...NBA doesn't have a stat/career category for strength...

Playoff influence can be factored into certain ratings, but I don't think 2K is looking at playoff averages between Duncan and Dirk Nowitski do determine overall ratings. Those are two established star players, they know what those guys can do.
Rondo is different because he is still an up and coming talent, so looking at his success in the playoffs is a little more acceptable and necessary.

Magic Johnson CAREER at MSU: 17.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 7.9 assists. Not ONE year.
Penny Hardaway CAREER at Memphis State: 20 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.9 assists.
You're talking about ALL-TIME greats? REALLY?

Oh and if you think that KD is only 6'9...you should actually meet him. They even mentioned that he was almost 7 feet during the world championships.
They meaning his teammates and the commentators...

i dont mind about one individuals overall rating but into relation to others.
duncan a 90 sounds to me like duncan in year 2004-06 and not 2010

I'm Sorry but LeBron and Wade are NOT on the same level as Kobe. AT ALL!

You can't just look at career numbers. The past season will be considered much more than career. Also, 8.5 is not high as I mentioned before.
Certain qualities weigh a little more heavily when the game calculates overall rating. The categories I named are the main categories for power forward players. Dirk Nowitski's skill are not reflective of his overall rating, but he can shoot the hell out of the ball. If he cannot shoot in 2K then I will complains.
Strength is not a stat you are correct but we know that Dirk is lacking in that department. Not a "power" forward

Ratings are just that - ratings. Until we actually play the finished product Oct. 5th, no one can really say for sure how these will play out. The demo is on Pro or whatever, So sliders etc may be the culprit at some things, but overall I think the ratings are fine since it looks like 2K made an effort to allow the real superstar players stand out from the other players. That's all... besides, by the 3rd day of release, someone on here will have an entire roster share available with "Ratings edits" that we can all download to our hearts content -
Why are people so surprised by CP3 being better then DWill? One thing is defense. Yea someone is going to say DWill plays good D too. But in CP3 case he makes a lot of steals on the defensive end. Deron doesn't....
Another factor is that CP3 is only 6'0. Remember "My Player" the small you were the more point you got?....just kidding about that..
But defense is what keeps them from being the same rating.

Many people underrate european players, including their respective NBA coaches...

I think at this point, both of those men are established players in the history of the NBA. I don't think a great playoff would do much to influence their ratings.
As I mentioned, if they were young and unestablished players maybe.
But don't look at Dirk Nowitski's rating as a way that 2K doesn't think he is good.
