It looks like another long season for Michigan football. Their only Quarterback on the roster that has game experience (Nick Sheridan) got injured in practice Tuesday and is now on crutches and a walking boot. I give Rich Rodriguez till the end of next season. If he doesn't put together a winning team (not likely that he will) then he's gone. I don't feel the slightest bit of sympathy seeing how I am a diehard Ohio State fan. GO BUCKS!!!

I understand that Michigan fans might start getting upset at lack of production, and a poor season last year. But when you're hiring a coach that is completely changing your team's system I think you need to give him a few years to get his players in there to implement the new system. I agree with Rudy that Rich Rod will get more time to get this ship righted.
I don't think it's gonna take him that long though. His first year at West Virginia he was 3-8 and in his second year he got things turned around to 9-4, so I think it might not be a 9 win season for Michigan this year, but I think you'll see 7+ this year. Year 3 should be the big push getting them back competing with the elite schools.
Probably some wishful thinking on your part wanting him out, since once he gets things going in Michigan he'll do much better against OSU than Lloyd Carr.

That said, I was extremely disappointed in Rich Rod last year and he better improve. I don't think he'll be fired after 2 years although another losing season will have calls for his head. He'll get three years and if he doesn't have the team winning at least 8 games in his third year, he'll really be in trouble.
