So far, I am relieved and annoyed by what has happened in free agency. I am annoyed to see that Danny Ferry and the Cavs have had no luck reeling in high talent free agents. They failed on Ron Artest and Trevor Ariza. I can understand Artest going to the defending champs, but Ariza to Houston? I guess he doesn't want another ring any time soon. Houston is without Yao, probably forever, and T-mac for half the season. Cleveland has the King and the newly aquired Shaq daddy. Along woth other talent ... Read More

I am sickened to see that another Pittsburgh team is hoisting up a championship. It's hard enough to see that the Steelers won yet another super bowl while the Cleveland Browns sit on the side because no one can seem to get the Browns on the right track. But to see another Pittsburgh team in the Penguins do it to another one of my favorite teams kills me. Detroit is the better team but fell apart in the end. Detroit will probably be back next year but Pittsburgh still has to go through Washington ... Read More

LA went down tonight in Orlando. Damn it! I was really pulling for the sweep just because I HATE the Magic for their live by and die by the 3 strategy. They don't have anything else. If it came down to points in the paint, Orlando loses because LA has many more weapons in the paint than Orlando. Dwight cannot do it by himself and that is why Orlando loses this series. On a lighter note, sort of, the Stanley Cup Finals are going to a game 7. I am a die hard Detroit Red Wings fan, even though I live ... Read More

I am a little surprised in seeing that Carmona as demoted, but not to AAA, to Rookie ball to work on his mechanics. If he doesn't correct it soon, his career is probably over. Now with the rotation in shambles, 4 starters on the DL, Carmona down to rookie ball, and a couple pitchers from AAA making their debut, this is how I see the rotation when everyone is off the DL in late June-early July:
1. Cliff Lee
2. Carl Pavano
3. Jake Westbrook
4. Anthony Reyes

For those that feel that LeBron James is leaving in 2010 for either the New York Knicks or the New Jersey (soon to be Brooklyn) Nets it won't happen. They have no pieces in place to even convince LeBron that those 2 teams can even compete for a championship. Man forget that the Cavs will have cap room in 2010 to not only resign LeBron, but to sign another big name (Chris Bosh?) to compete for championships for years to come. As for game 6 tonight, even though it is in Orlando, I feel that those ... Read More

The way that the Cavs lost game 1 to Orlando was unfortunate. But the way that Cleveland defended the pick and pop in the second half was pathetic. If they defended it better, then we would be talking about how the Cavs dominated game 1, led by James' 49, a new playoff career high. They need someone else to step up offensively in order for the Cavs to truely dominate this series. They also need a better strategy to defending the pick and pop. They accomlish these two things, then the Cavs will win ... Read More

This baseball season has been hard to bear seeing how my favorite team, the Cleveland Indians, are flat out falling on their faces right out of the gate. Carl Pavano has been a waste of money. No one seems to want to give Cliff Lee the run support he needs to win baseball games. The last 3 starts Lee pitched should have been wins but the offense only mustered 2 runs of support. The offense also strugles with runners in scoring position. That is a prolem and a key stat that needs fixed. You need ... Read More

Last night's display by LeBron is one for the ages. No matter who you are, you do not let up near a 50 spot, as well as 10+ rebounds and 8 assists by one player. Reguar season or playoffs it doesn't matter. Especially in the playoffs, because you are one of the better teams in the entire league. If something like this happerns in the playoffs, your entire team should just wave the white flag right now. Atlanta is done, Cleveland is one and moving on to the conference finals where destiny awaits. ... Read More

Lebron dominated on the night he was presented his MVP award. I smell another sweep in the air at the expense of the Atlanta Hawks who faltered in the 2nd half against the number one defense in the NBA. Also, the Lakers lost game 1 to Houston, proving that L.A. is vunerable at home after all. All signs are pointing in the Cavs favor. It is up to them to take advantage of it all.

I am going to make a very bold prediction for game 7. Chicago wins and eliminates the defending champion Celtics. Rondo is on the edge of losing it, if he hasn't already. Big baby Davis can't play worth ****. Marbury is cancer to the Celtics and should have never been signed. This is a sign of weakness, bowing to the superior Cavs. Total desperation on this move. Boston is down to 3 big men and the veterans (Allen, Pierce, and KG) are now showing their age at the wrong time and I love it. This helps ... Read More

Big weekend ahead with NBA playoffs. I feel this is the Cavaliers year. They have the overall number 1 seed and will have home court advantage. They are 39-2 at home on the year, and I feel that you can't hold last night against them seeing how they played their bench for most of the game. As long as they avoid the Orlando Magic, everything will be fine. I feel that the healthy Cavaliers can take it and will take it to the Lakers. CAVS WILL BE NBA CHAMPIONS! YOU CAN BANK ON THAT!

Finally the Jay Cutler dilemma is finally over. They have traded him and 3rd Round pick to the Bears for Kyle Orton, their 2009 1st Round Pick, and their 2010 1st Round Pick. Now I don't have to hear the ongoing rumors that the Broncos are goin to trade with the Browns to get their hands on Brady Quinn. I still feel that Quinn is the future of this team (or current, depending on the QB battle in camp) and that if a deal was to be made, that Derek Anderson should have been the one to go. This also ... Read More

Was anyone as surprised as I was in how the final four ended up? I can understand about UConn and UNC, but Michigan State and Villanova pulling upsets in their elite 8 matchups? Thi could spell trouble for UConn seeing how this is a virtual home game for Michigan State. I'm not worried about UNC though. They could be seen as the favorites as they, in my opinion, have too much for Villanova to handle, and if Michigan State advances as I have a gut feeling they will, UNC beat Michigan State earlier ... It looks like another long season for Michigan football. Their only Quarterback on the roster that has game experience (Nick Sheridan) got injured in practice Tuesday and is now on crutches and a walking boot. I give Rich Rodriguez till the end of next season. If he doesn't put together a winning team (not likely that he will) then he's gone. I don't feel the slightest bit of sympathy seeing how I am a diehard Ohio State fan. GO BUCKS!!!

As if a QB controversy is not bad enough with Anderson and Quinn, now it seems that Mangini is texting Brett Favre about a possible visit to the Browns. Is everyone as sickened as I am about another Brett Favre soap opera, with all of this going on, as well as trade talks with Denver about Cutler? I feel that Favre needs to hang it up. It's time.
