How It All Started

Hello fellow franchisees or franchisers,

I recently came to this thread looking to see if anyone has posted about an up to date franchise roster with 18 player stats, next thing I know is I had read page after page about others franchises. I like how some of you are posting info about your franchises as I do mine in my head. So I thought I would start a fresh Cincinnati Reds 18 Franchise and post along. Hope I dont bore too many of you. I am calling it...wait for it...

2018 Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Francise, go figure. The story goes a little something like this...

So me and the boys (Sean Casey, Junior, Bench and a few others were at Montgomery Inn knocking back a few beers and having some ribs after the 17 World Series, could not cheer for either team, maybe because of back in the day we all were in the same NL West division. When some of us started discussing the current ownership or lack of for the Reds. Go figure. Remember this in 2017. So we came up with the bright idea to buy the Reds and make them contenders again.

After prying the Reds away from Castellini, we decided a new manager was in order...Junior said he knew the perfect guy and gave him a call. Not know our soon to be new manager was sitting with H & H Steinbrenners at "The Evil Empire" Global Enterprises offices in New York, Junior was able to convince him to "Light Side", we would match thier offer plus Skyline chili for life. BOOM! or BOONE! I should say, this is how Young Aaron would become the next manager of the 2018 Cincinnati Reds.

It took some smooth talkin' from Sean Casey to calm down "The Evil Empire", but he convinced them with a smile and a laugh that they were still way up on the Reds organization, you know with Paul O'Neill, Aaron Boone and his 2003 ALCS 11th inning walk-off home run against the Red Sox, and most recently with the Chapman trade. We had to send them a little cash comp and Mack Jenkins our EX pitching coach.

This proved well as we were able to convince Bryan Price his true talents were as a pitching coach. We like Bryan and felt he got screwed by the old ownership. He agreed to stay on, it helped we paid him outright for his manager contract and offered him a more than fair pitching coach contract. We also sent Don Long packing and stole Jeff Branson away from the Pi-RATS, they in turn hired Long to get even...okay? We extended Benavides and Hatch...we got some smart, young guy out of the Orioles organizations to man our clubs farm system. I feel good things a comin'.
