I cant believe some of the things that happen in this game. Ai blockers just run away from defenders letting them pass by, robo qb passing just as im about to sack him every time, ridiculous amount of time for cpu to sit back, relax, have a cup of tea and then oh yeah throw the football! I have overlooked these issues for the most part because they werent game breakers. i can still get big runs, the pass defense gets a decent amount of deflections and ints and every now and then i can get a sack. but there is 1 thing i will not accept and that is the cpu downright cheating. im playing my 49ers franchises against the cardinals. its been a defensive game for the most part the cardinals just took the lead to go up 24 17. ( even though it should be tied a bogus return for the cards put them up but i let that go it wasnt that bad). its the fourth quarter and while my offense has played fairly well i havent gone up and down the field on the defense. 3rd and long i go deep to crabtree on a go route to the sideline. i overshot him a few yards which was acceptable given there was double coverage and alex smith isnt too great. the cards safety goes for the int and misses . it bounces off the safety and into crabtree's hands!!! my jaw dropped to the floor, it was an amazing play that saved my drive! but unfortunately for me the cpu decides to challenge and the play is reversed!? i thought it was clearly in bounds so i look at the replay closely. Crabtree clearly caught the ball and got not 1 not 2 but three steps in bounds!!!! there is no question he caught the ball. i wish i had a camara to record it. you could review it a million times and it would be ruled a catch!! that right there is a game breaker! i still had time to catch up as there was 10 minutes left but what if i dontscore or the cardinals score again!? or what if this happens in the final minutes of the game and lose because of that? i would have gotten at least 3 points out of that drive as that catch put me in field goal range or just outside it. there is no way to justify that ruling on the field i cant believe that ea can put out a game with sooo many glaring problems. there are patches on the way to hopefully remedy some of these problems but i fear they may not be fixed. ea is happy to give us shoes and towels and that stupid chain gang cutscene that gives away the result before the scene is over based on what angle is shown but they cant give us things that actually matter in the gameplay department. i really hope the patches fix these issues that should have been sorted out during development. honesty i think ea does zero testing because some of these issues happen every game multiple times not just once in a blue moon. i refuse to play madden until then and if they arent fixed then this game is going back to gamestop so i can get a game that is actually finished.

I bought this game on half.com after reading the initial positive reviews. Now I'm dreading the day it arrives at my doorstep.

Wow, I'm really glad I'm not like you, that's a tad ridiculous to get rid of it so soon, especially without messing with sliders/settings etc. This is an amazing game, loving every game I play.

oh believe me ive been messing with the sliders since day 1 and its made the game slightly better. thanks to the guys in the sliders forum. but theres no slider to fix the cpu cheating me out of a play on a bs reversal of a catch, or the insane pass blocking.
