When you fail and don't achieve, get up... and complain again.

Im new to this community of online gamers. Im also new to next gen videogames. Two weeks ago, I purchased one X BOX 360 and one copy of NHL 09.

I was estatic.

I had been playing NHL 99 on the n64 for weeks, battling with Sergei Federov and his fancy nike skates. Needless to say, playing as the wings of old got very boring. I played NHL 07 at my friends house and knew what I had to do.

So here I sit, joining this community to try and gain every bit of knowledge i can to excell at my new favorite hobby. instead of information, i find anamosity. I have read of all the things NHL 09 is doing wrong. how certain plays are "cheese" plays and should be corrected. How certain play configurations should be stronger.

I find myself offended by these kinds of statements. Is it frustrating when an oppenent swoops behind the net and slams the puck home? yes. is it frustrating when a one timer bounces backwards out of the zone? yes. Do these things happen in real hockey? YES.
Going back to 99 as i did for so long, the NHL series has jumped leaps and bounds into the most realistic hockey sim to date. I have found great joy in taking the time to learn how to execute a one-timer, in how to stop the wrap around goal, in how to play nhl 09 to the best of my abilities.

It is not EA SPORTS' fault that gamers have come up with successful strategies to win games. it is not EA sport's fault you can't execute a one timer. The point of this game is to overcome challenges. Please stop complaining of cheaters and complaining of difficulty. when you fail, get up and try again. don't run to your keyboard.
