NBA 2K15 MyLeague Emotions

As I play through MyLeague I find myself having trouble letting go. Sure, this would be difficult IRL when you're actually running a team and spend countless hours with these players but I don't. It takes me roughly 10 days to complete a season, off-season and start the next year. So why do I find myself not wanting to trade Dennis Schroeder or trying to force Jarnell Stokes into the starting lineup? The problem is I get an emotional connection with these fictional versions of real life players that leaves me begging for their success. I will go to any lengths to ensure they are successful...that is until I figure out their actually not that great after all. Then what do I do? I trade Dennis Schroeder to Dallas for a 1st round pick and put Stokes back on the bench. Oh well, I tried. Next year I'll do it all again with someone else...
