December 1, 2010 After 20 games the Knicks are 13-7 for 4th place in the Eastern Conference behind the Magic, Heat, and the Bulls. They are 1st place in the Atlantic Division, 2.5 games ahead of the Nets. They are 6th place in the NBA's Power Rankings. (SIX MINUTE QUARTERS, PRO LEVEL)
Carmelo Anthony is 8th in scoring with 13.5ppg (Nowitski 16.4)
Stoudemire is 11th in Rebounding(5.6), Gasol is 17th (5.3) (D. Howard, 7.0)
Gasol has the single game rebounding record with 12.
Billups is 2nd in Assists with 5.7 (Kidd, 5.8) He holds the single game assist record with 12.
Stoudemire is 2nd in Blocks (1.4), Okafor (1.6)
Greg Monroe is 9th in Rookie Scoring with 3.8ppg and 2.3Rpg
Thoughts, Reflections, and Lessons So Far
I am enjoying playing with the Knicks. With my first Association with the Lakers I relied heavily on two scoring guards (Monta Ellis and Kobe Bryant). Now the team is largely carried by the forwards. Billups, Gasol, Anthony, and Stoudemire all average 9+ points per game. It would be something to have 4 starters end up in double figures. In the early voting for the All Star Team, al 4 are receiving significant votes. I like playing with Greg Monroe and hope to develop a nice three big-man rotation that can include him. Already he has hit for a career high 13 against the Charlotte Bobcats. Lastly, I have been able to make trades to get the Raptor's 1st Round Pick. I hope this turns into a high lottery selection. This will be a great team to play with.
I'm still looking for the sliders that I'll settle on. Experimenting with different settings.

I think I'm going to like playing with this team.
Herman Mccoy R-11th pick (66) WAS SENT TO D-LEAGUE
The LA Lakers have cleared out their bench to have a much younger roster. Here are the post-season transactions.
Trades
Lakers trade: Ben Wallace, ’12 1st Round, ’11 2nd round
Nets trade: Damion Jones, ’11 1st round pick
Lakers trade: Odom, Blake
Grizzlies trade: Hasheem Thabeet (bench warming Center entering 3d year), ’11 1st round Pick
Lakers trade: Mike Bibby, ’11 1st round pick
Hornets Trade: Jarrett Jack (backup PG who can chip in a few pts and some assists), ’12 2nd round pick
Lakers trade : ‘11 1st round pick
Bulls trade:: ’11 1st round, ’12 2nd round—to move back a few spaces in the draft
Lakers trade Nando D’angelo
T’wolves trade ’11 1st round pick, ’11 2nd round pick, ’12 1st round pick
Lakers trade: ’11 2nd round, ’11 2nd round, ’12 2nd round
Rockets trade ’12 1st round
Had enough draft picks – wanted to package up 2nd round picks for a stronger 1st round pick next year
Free Agents Signed:
Nazr Muhammed- 1 year (veteran center to come off bench)
Kenyon Martin- 1 year (veteran PF to come off the bench)
Grant Hill- 1 year (former Rookie of the year & 6 time All-star looking to play a support role backing up Artest)
Sent to D-league
PF Derrick Caracter (67)-- I want to see if he can develop into a complement for Joakim Noah. I refused a number of trades for him. His defense is workable but his big man offense skills need work.
C Hasheem Thabeet (62)
I hope that the chemistry will be better with this team, and that the players will "know their roles" and not complain and moan about playing time. SF Matt Barnes and SG Keith Bogans refused to re-sign with us. I was saddened by Blake as I wanted him to be my consistent backup SF. He was nowhere close to replacing Artest so I am sure he wanted more PT. He signed with Golden State so I'll be following him from a distance.
I'm trying to think beyond Kobe and Gasol. I see Noah and Last year's MVP Monta Ellis as forming the future core. Time will tell how the young talent develops.
I'll send an email with depth charts and profiles of the rookies.

***Please note, these are 5 minute games
Lakers have taken a 3-0 lead in the series largely due to two factors. First, Joakim Noah has come into his own as an offensive threat, leading the team in each game in points. After Game 3, Noah said "I think they underestimated me. They played up on Monta and Kobe, but I was able to create some opportunities with some good looks down low."
Secondly the Lakers implemented a big lineup of Odom (at SF), Wallace (on Bosh), and Noah/Gasol (at C) which the Heat had trouble dealing with. After Game 1, the Lakers made this adjustment and for all intents and purposes have made Bosh a non-factor in Games 2 and 3. Coach Phil Jackson said "We knew they had three threats, and they could beat us if all three were having hot games. Lebron can't beat us by himself."
Will the Lakers continue their winning ways? They are up 3-0 but the Heat won't just take this lying down...

So, I'm playing NBA 2k11 and loving it. Why else would I write about it. "My Player" kicked my butt but Association is so much fun. I'm playing as the L.A. Lakers with 5 minute quarters. Now playing at Pro level. (started off at Rookie) Am in the playoffs now of my first season.
Highlights from Season:
Monte Ellis named MVP, All NBA First Team
Pau Gasol named NBA Second Team
Kobe Bryant named NBA Third Team
I love having two guards who can create their own opportunities. I switch Kobe and Monte depending on the matchups. It matches my playing style. I'm learning to use the big men better...
Artest, Gasol, and Joakim Noah round out the starters with Odom and Ben Wallace occasionally getting the nod. (Big Ben SHUT DOWN Dirk Nowitski in the playoffs) Besides the starters there is LOW morale. We'll see how well the team can stay together.
I'll write more highlights later.
