1. Player Roles Expanded: I believe it was Madden 08 that first brought out player roles, could be wrong, but anyway when it was introduced, I thought it was a beginning of a beautiful thing, but all it really did was show icons under players, representing the type of skills they possessed. Fast forward to Madden 12, player roles has made a comeback, like a Shaq to Cleveland type comeback, but a comeback nonetheless. Now Player Roles are provided with stat increases/decreases with regards to a specific role, increases/decreases in which we don't see the numerical value, never knoowing how much these roles affect the game.

What I wish for Madden to incorporate is the ability to assign specific roles to specific players, and based off how they perform during the season in these specific roles, dictates if their OVR would increase or decrease. That way guys on the back end of a depth chart won't decrease simply because they never got in the game. There should be stats in relevance to the Player Role, meaning if a return man has a good kick/punt return avergage, and not too many muffs or fumbles, that player should grade out positive. On the flipside, a player assigned as a Nickle Back allows multiple passes to be completed or gives up big plays, would grade out negative.
Not only would a feature like this benefit gameplay, but would change the Draft and the free agency bidding drastically, teams looking for a Joker LB/DE Hybrid player can look at all the players under that specific role, and decide who to best pickup, instead of picking up the best OVR player at that position.
This is another addition to my wishlist, Hope anyone who reads it, likes my ideas, if not, that's cool too, feel free to comment

This would be a great thing to be implemented into this year's game! Great Idea!

It would provide that additional depth necessary to make it a compelling feature of the game. Admittedly while playing 12 I tended to skip over looking at the player roles because none of it seemed to really affect me much.
