EA stokes the fires of my technophobia

I have offically became lost at what the problem is with TEAMBUILDER but I'm pretty sure I screwed it up somehow so it doesn't really matter.

I have strived my entire adult life to not become the technophobe my Grandma was. She stopped driving because she got scared of putting gas in the car. The new (at the time) scan and pay pumps scared her that badly. She just knew deep down that she was going to screw it up and cause an explosion.

She couldn't use a remote. Of any kind. Not even a garage door remote.

It was easy to roll my eyes and laugh back then but as I've grown older that same technology gap has crept up on me.

I use to be able to hook a vcr to a TV with cable.

Now, despite being able to read a diagram for the electrical wiring on a HVAC, I find it insanely difficult to hook a gaming system to a blue ray disc player and digital cable box. The cords have multiplied to color coded nightmare lines that don't actually connect unless you're on the right channel/setting.

Just last week at a grocery store I attempted a self scan and pay.
Somehow it had me purchasing 10 boxes of fruit loops, a glazed ham and some dried prunes. I was trying to buy ONE loaf of bread. I scanned nothing else. The teenager with the pierced nose looked at me like I imagine somone use to look at my Grandma using a ATM with her Sears credit card.

So when I read that in all likelyhood the team I created on TEAMBUILDER was lost to the digital gods of this new world like a half assed sacrifice of a girl who might be a virgin depending on how you define "sex", I just passed on buying NCAA 10.

I don't hate EA but I'm acutely aware I need to to wait out this new fangled feature untill they "dumb" it down so even I can use it without step by step instructions from someone a fourth my age.

Team builder does not need dumbing down. It needs to be further built up, the current set of options is not enough.

I'd have to agree with njd.aitken it's extremely limited. The only thing I think was done right was it being a web application that way it's just a bit easier to upload custom made photoshop edited logos etc. than it would be on a console. And it's not your fault your created school got lost, it's been happening to alot of people. EA is at fault for dodgy programming and making it unnecessarily difficult to download your team.

I didn't mean dumb it down by removing options. I just hope that someday it'll be simplier to load/upload teams and/or logos
