NBA 2K13 Next Wave of Sports
Posted on September 28, 2012 at 04:40 AM.
NBA 2K13 seems like it will be that sports title that puts the game in your hands.
Meaning after playing the demo I could honestly look and see where it was my error that I needed to work on to improve upon to better my game.

Most Sports titles are very script heavy.
Determining the outcomes of events to it's liking instead of playing out freely.
That's we as gamers seen ridiculous plays like centers chasing down point guards or 10 foot vertical leaps for picks.

In the demo I felt as though I made the mistakes.
Weather it be a bad spin move a step in the wrong direction or a bad shot selection.
We ask for physics and things to matter, but if the game is going to be scripted and played the way the A.I. says none of that matters.
We will only get cool collisions and bad gameplay.

But what comes with user freedom come user error.
LOL is the average sports enthusiast ready to blame their self instead of an exploit.
Are cheesers ready to play a game that they can't abuse an exploit for a win.
With the ability to succeed is now the power to fail.
Are we ready for the acceptance to user error and be ready to step up our game to the next level to win.

Seems like 2K may have found that balance.
Can't wait for the complaints of players who no longer can use the same tactics like spin cheese, or non-contact hop steps now that you get punished for it or my favorite putting big defenders on smaller faster players.
Now that doesn't work.
What will the players that fed off of the flaws of the game do now.
Learn how to play or hate the game and stay stuck in the past?
