I just bought a PS2 so I could play some of my old games, but I want to know is there a way to make the screen look better? I'm playing on my Sharp 46in.? and the screen looks blurry. Is there a way to fix this or do I need to play on my 19" TV? Thanks for the help?

what is your resolution setting? I wonder if you lowered it if it would make a difference

I'm playing with the Red, White and Yellow cable. I don't see a hook up for anything else on the PS2.

You need to buy a component cable. They sell them at bestbuy that work with PS2 and PS3 I think. Ask a worker there. I bought one at a store called game Xchange. They also have them on Ebay. It made my the graphics look sooo good for a PS2.

Thanks guys! I went to Wal-Mart and bought a component cable that had the red, green,blue and the s-component wire and now it's running at 480 and looks clear! Thanks again!

If you are playing on an SDTV, would the cables that come with the system be fine to use, or should I still get the component cables?

DJ, I would say to stick with your cable you have on a SDTV. I don't think it was help much if at all. The reason people need component cable is because of having a HDTV. The words look really blurry and the graphics look worse when you play PS2 with the AV cable that comes with it than it does on a SDTV.

I have an HD TV that's why I needed the component cables. DJ, If you have a SD TV the cables that come with the PS2 will be fine.

That's what I figured. I had my PS2 upstairs, along with my 360 and PS3 and did use the Component Cable then, but recently moved the PS2 to a remodled den and just wanted to be sure what to use to hook it up to our old TV. Thanks guys.
